On the Jose body language scale this means he will never ever leave us. Never. :smitten:

He looks lovely and jovial. I remember when we saw a few 'sulky' pictures. No more it seems. :smitten:

When I saw your sig', I had to smile a large smile, Sholas greatest ever goal for us, and it was against the mackems.

Shola seems like a proper gentle giant, but I'd fucking shit my pants if I bumped into him in a back alley at night. I bet he's hard as fuck too.

Shola was always lanky but over the last few seasons he's become a monster. Built like a heavyweight boxer.

I bet he could chin Haye, he might be average in the box but I bet he's mint in the square ring.

I've just been watching the 5-1 again. The way Shola tucks the penalty away, and his finish for the 4th are outstanding, it's a shame he can't produce that stuff a bit for frequently.

Anyways, Ben Arfa, aye. Jizzfest heading our way soon!

Has Ben Arfa now officially given the number 10 shirt as I see on .co.uk that on the current players name and numbers options when purchasing new shits that he is down as number 10 on that list.  No sign of Cabaye or Marveaux yet.

Might as well have been wearing his Liverpool Kit

If he slouches any lower he'll be kneeling down.

Hate his body language with passion.

wtf ? his body language is "this is boring". he's also moving at the time so i'd guess he's just being told to get into position for the official smiley shots.

Last season they turned round and walked towards the camera a bit. Absolutely ridiculous if anyone's being serious about his body language.

Last season, Jonas was the only one who smiled in the one of those as he walked into the picture.

Hatem Ben Arfa’s looking good, says Alan Pardew

    by Mark Douglas, The Journal

    Jul 14 2011

HATEM Ben Arfa has returned to Tyneside in “thrilling” shape, according to Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew.

And his delighted manager revealed that the French playmaker looks back to his best after his extended summer rehabilitation from a double leg break.

All eyes will be on Ben Arfa at Darlington tomorrow evening, as he makes his long-awaited recovery from the serious injury sustained in October last year.

But Pardew – who insisted on a safety-first approach last season – says the France international can shoulder the burden of expectations.

The positive prognosis on Ben Arfa will be music to the ears of supporters who have waited anxiously to hear whether the former Marseille star will be ready for the start of the season. Pardew insists that he will – and that he is already being primed for a major role next term.

Ben Arfa isn’t the only player to return in fine shape. Indeed the United boss says that with the exception of Sylvain Marveaux – still getting up to speed following a season of inactivity – and the unwanted Xisco, everyone is looking in fine fettle. “We’re delighted to be back and I’m excited about the new season,” Pardew revealed. “I want to get the new season underway, I’m looking forward to it. The players all look in good shape.

“One or two of them are below the level of the rest but everyone else is above the level we would expect from them and we’re just gearing up for the new season now.

“Generally, everyone is above where I want them to be. Sylvain Marveaux hasn’t played for a while so he’s just slightly behind where we want him to be, and Xisco is a little bit behind.

“But the main guys are looking good. And I’ve been delighted to see Hatem Ben Arfa out there running – he looks in excellent condition. I’m really pleased in him so far.”

Although the Magpies are still chasing another striker, the potential for Ben Arfa to make a difference next term shouldn’t be underestimated.

As one of the leading lights of France’s gifted new generation, the 24-year-old can be United’s talisman next term.

Pardew said: “Hatem gives us that X factor that we need. I said at the end of last season we would need one or two people to step up and provide us with that, and I hope Hatem can do that.

“He is a player capable of that special pass or that special bit of skill that gets Newcastle fans off their feet. I can’t wait to work with him, he can be a very important player for us next season.”
