Geordie Ahmed
Played well BUT as always he has those dodgy moments in him, silly free kick to concede for their winner, Altidore was going nowhere

Wrong decision but his and Cabayes reaction to it were dumb. Accept it and get back into position, instead of moaning and get caught out like they did. sempuki
About the only one who did himself justice. In fact, that is now two decent displays in a row from him.

Pilko
Conned by the referee (who would have guessed it, Lee Probert?!) for the winner and one of the better performers on the day. Still fucking hate the bloke, and he has a lot more games to play well in before he even begins to edge away from the 'point of no return' I pegged him at after the 7-3 defeat at Arsenal 10 months ago. The last three have been pretty decent though tbf.
joeyt
Thought he played well today but sometimes just needs to get rid instead of twisting and turning into trouble
Ally
Did well today. Intercepted well, tackled well (on the whole), tidy passing. He seemed the only one who really gave a shit
Mr. Snrub
Stood up and counted today and took the responsibility of the armband well. Really looked like he cared and put a good shift in. I said there was still a good player there, just needed some discipline. It's not Tiote that needs taken out of the midfield, it's Sissoko.
TRC
I'm still furious with him about that cross he just booted out of play. I'd fine him a weeks wages for that.

Smal
Bit like last game. Played well other than being largely responsible for an opposition goal.
olliemort
Another good performance. Happy for him as his heart is in the right place.I agree with the previous comments but I think he holds on to the ball too long sometimes because there's no other ball on
AlanSkÃrare
Looking more and more like his old self.
DJ_NUFC
Absolutely fantastic performance, a man surrounded by wimpy boys in the middle of the park. Kept his head when others were furiously pulling their foreskins over theirs to hide them.
Guest neesy111
Only one that give 100% yesterday.
Happy Face
Was he the longest serving outfield player to start yesterday? Think he knew what a derby was about more than anyone else...they should have known better after last season though.
Lush Vlad
Anita getting games ahead of him and then getting the armband seems to have worked wonders. He still dwells on the ball too much. But he was almost like the Cheik of a few years back that we grew to love and appreciate. Hopefully he can continue, as we're going to need players like him this season. We look so disjointed on the pitch and we'll need all the battlers we can get to pull through.
Disco
Least shit out of the lot yesterday. Wouldn't go so far as saying he played well though.

Ste
Did canny. He at least looked like the scoreline was bothering him. Keep it up Tiote.
La Parka
Was at fault for the second goal: Too busy arguing with the ref to be in his midfield position, pretty much exactly where Borini came infield at. Apart from that he was excellent.
