BONTEMPI
For me Tiote is the type of player we've been lacking for quite a while. Someone to break up the play and spread the play without loosing the ball. Add Arfa to that and i'll be chuffed, Sign a Proven Striker and i'll be ecstatic. midds
What players could we sell and get 3.5 million out of? We've not proven ourselves to be particularly skilled in the selling side of the transfer market either, think we're the only team Man City have got a bargain out of. Shifting out s**** is an Ashley forte tbh. I'd expect Taylor to be the one shifted if anyone goes. Edit: hadn't seen that Dave btw. Bring in a club-less defender for nowt who has one or two seasons maximum left in him (if that) and sell a 24 year proven PL defender for a couple of million thats how to build for the future. Never said it would make sense tbh. Probably a load of s**** anyway, I'm just guessing. taylors stance oin his contract could force the issue (and i'm not one who would like to see him leave). We've had this conversation before. He either signs or he's put up for sale imo. He'd cost quite a bit to replace so paying him a bit more than we think he's worth might turn out to be the better course of action from a purely financial point of view. Getting dragged way off topic though. today or is there a time limit ? His contract situation should have been sorted, one way or the other, months ago. The fact the club have let it rumble on this long without him signing or leaving is pretty annoying. The whole situation needs to be brought to a head and he either moves on or signs on. Obviously not privvy to what has been spoken about in the negotiations but letting him leave on a free is the worst-case scenario.
Cronky
I'll get ahead of myself, and assume that Ben Arfa's coming and that both he and Tiote are as good as we think, and say that - Routledge Tiote Barton Jonas Ben Arfa Carroll is a very, very decent unit. Individually, everyone has their best role and collectively, there's a very good balance. A threat down the wings, a threat down the middle, and some defensive strength. STM
You would have to have one hell of a knowledge of football to be sitting in a restaurant and go "hey isn't he that Ivorian who crunched Elano during the world cup!!" Who exactly are these spotters? I can understand the medical stuff sneaking out though.

Jayson
A more positive opinion from an Fc Twente fan: Incredible loss to Twente, unless the transfer is over € 7 million. But the worst fears, judging from the reports are too speculative. Tioté in my opinion the best midfielder playing in the Netherlands. Dave
Tioté was a player to enjoy, even though he was very shaky in his game. Pretty stupid actions he alternated with loss of possession. Physically strong as an ox but not the best tactically on the field. This would be a major drain for FC Twente. Tioté is the best midfielder currently in the Netherlands around. Should he leave, then this is definitely a miss! This guy is so good. So good. That man is soon on his own in midfield will soon make a difference in the CL. Mortal sin when he leaves. Remember also that his head was driven mad by teammates from Ivory Coast who told him that he would fit well I England and that he had to make that step. Some quotes from Twente fans. Last one is interesting.
ponsaelius
Twente fans seem to think he is a real coup then. RTG reckons he's shite though. No surprise.
