Newcastle United 6 - 0 Aston Villa - 22/08/10 - post match reaction from page 36

Some of the clips they showed on the 'analysis' didn't even make it into the actual match footage either. Could have been 10 really.

Yep. That one where Routledge was completely through with nobody near him was actually a brilliant chance if didn't naff hiss touch up.

Villa were clearly dogshite (only seen the brief highlights)... but the first and last goals were genuine quality for different reasons.

Surprised and absolutely delighted with Carroll this year. It's only been a few months and was improving anyway, but he looks a different player to last season. Jesus Christ has he made the step up alright.

Early days and Villa were shite but so fuck. If we were shite aswell we wouldn't have beaten them 6-0. A poor side came up against a good side today and the result was clearly a deserved one.

Absolutely brilliant. :)

What happened to MOTD2... used to be funny. They seem like they're behind on the schedule.

Fits in with the rest of the BBC shite these days. Trying too hard.

Annoys me how they've gone on about Foster this weekend n all, yes the pen save was good but he was badly fault for the Bburn goal.

It's missing Chiles' relaxed presenting style and whimsical charm. Then to keep it light hearted they crow bar in shitty animated sequences, like the Dad's Army one at the top of today's show, which just look cheap.

And that Iron Maiden sound tracked outro illustrated my point perfectly.
