summerof69
Personally think when fit Taylor is much better than Williamson, Williamson is shit defensively but also puts us under so much pressure with his aimless hoofs

Criminal to call him a professional footballer.
Kanj
Taylor has had 4,000 injuries and still remains far more mobile and competent with a ball at his feet. He's still thick, unreliable, prone to error and madness and doesn't deserve to be anywhere near our team for footballing and personal (being an ass kisser to every manager currently in place), let me make sure I am clear about that. But based on the shit Williamson has served up the past 15 matches + friendlies, he's FAR worse than Taylor.
KaKa
Completely agree. Taylor's confidence with the ball led to our goal in that last game. Wasn't scared to advance with it and get it forward to the midfielders with more urgency.
AyeDubbleYoo
I never believed one player could be as detrimental to a team as Mike Williamson. Completely ruins any possession football and also leaves us exposed defensively.
JUICE690
I imagine Williamsons thought process on the pitch goes something like this. "Hey Mike" "Huh?" "Look..." "Is, is that the..." "Yep, that's the ball, and it's coming our way". "Now remember, keep calm, because there's nooo need to panic". "We have several options available to us". "Option 1:". "HOOFED IT!" "Ahh ffs"
Sho Time
Taylor and Williamson at the back. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121213234337/degrassi/images/thumb/c/c5/Beavis-and-Butthead-It-s-A-Miserable-Life-beavis-and-butthead-9406784-720-480.jpg/640px-Beavis-and-Butthead-It-s-A-Miserable-Life-beavis-and-butthead-9406784-720-480.jpg
TRon
Never thought I'd see the day when I was defending Taylor on here, but next to Williamson he's a man mountain.
Lotus
Obviously, individually Taylor is better than Williamson. Williamson did form a fairly decent partnership with Colo that was ok for a while which is something i've not really seen Taylor do with anyone. Anyway, hope we replace both with better players. Newcastle Fan
He's not everyone's favorite player but we always seem a better side at the back when he is playing.
Varadi
His type of game today, loads of blocks and clearing headers, did very well.
timeEd32
Was excellent today.
Stifler
I've always thought that he's a steady CB, it's just every so often he's prone to a blatant error. In my opinion he's better at RB. All in all I would say he's no worse than the average CB, sometimes gets a bit too much stick.
TRon
I think his main problem is he wants to do the same role as Colo, he tends to sit back and go for blocking rather than go out and stop the shots coming in at the source. He did well though, the real test for his partnership with Coloccini will be when we are up against a forward with pace and power in the air.
sempuki
Some daft moments but a good display overall. Looks old with the grey hair mind.
madras
Some daft moments but a good display overall. Looks old with the grey hair mind. the only daft moments I remember were necessary. the diving header clearence after taking a blaster off the head and the dive to try and bloke hernandez when Krul saved. He actually played very well today, more concerned about his staying fit than his capabilities as a back up centre half.
Mole_Toonfan
There was a lot of times he gave the ball away for no reason at all, although quite a few did that. In terms of just general defending he was spot on.
Tsunami
He played well and put his body in the way as he does. So relieved when he didn't manage to punch the ball away from Hernadez when Krul saved. It was a typical Taylor moment.

henke
Him and Coloccini today haven't played like that together in four years, credit where it's because nobody expected it.
madras
Him and Coloccini today haven't played like that together in four years, credit where it's because nobody expected it. tbf I think it's like some have said, they had no aerial threat from open play and little pace running at them. henke
They were suited to what Man United threw at us no doubt. But I still expected Coloccini to be beaten in the air by Hernandez for their 4th goal while Taylor stood with his thumb up his arse while Rooney ghosted in for the 5th. Pleasant surprise all round really.
