Mole_Toonfan
Lampard and Wilshere are better, imo. Offensively? sure but i meant as far as playmaking goes Carrick is our best. Lampard and Wilshere have more offensive ability for sure.
Oakie Doke
absolute disgrace that Carrick wasn't playing for us in his prime. Inexcusable tbh. I'm Oakie Doke. Thanks for reading.

Sifu
Would it not make more sense to play Carrick in his actual position and let a proper centre back gain some international experience? And I thought Woy would do a good job
Ronaldo
Lampard and Wilshere are better, imo. What a sad sad state of affairs. Could be so much worse, man.
Deuce
Lampard and Wilshere are better, imo. What a sad sad state of affairs. Could be so much worse, man. You could be starting Jermaine Jones or Maurice Edu in central midfield.

Froggy
Carrick is class like but he's so bad in centre back. He's played there about 10 times for us and been terrible about 9 of those times. For what it's worth I think he's the best midfielder England have bar Wilshere. Carrick is probably in better form, currently.
oldtype
Or Mile Jedinak and James Holland..... Championship and Austrian Bundesliga FFS. That Lee Dong-Gook from Boro could still be starting up front for you.
Ronaldo
I do like Carrick, for the record. Always thought he was class and should be starting ahead of Barry.

That Lee Dong-Gook from Boro could still be starting up front for you. It's ok we have a 33 year old Tim Cahill, a 34 year old Archie Thompson and a 30 year old Alex Brosque. Sad state of affairs. Positives are Tommy Oar is a top attacking mid/winger in the Dutch league, Rogic iS getting some games at Celtic and Robbie Kruse is Dusseldorfs best player in the Bundesliga. other than those 3 we are fucking dire. Archie is fucking shit - damning indictement that he got any caps, let alone as many as he did. Dire is an understatement and in 2014 we'll be humiliated (if we even make it). nufc4eva
Be canny to see him play, he's the type that would give his all in anything, still probably watch any other game than an England game though often too boring and predictable for a football match
Pilko
If he starts he'd be a great anytime goalscorer bet. Problem is, with it being San Marino, the odds on every player plummets so the defenders go down to like 5/1 anytime.
