He's been class this season. His blocks got us through the last round.

Frustrating he has these ridiculous moments but he's definitely in credit for us in terms of doing well.

He's got away with that kind of handball quite a bit these past few seasons. Had to be punished for it tonight of all nights.

He's done it at least a couple of times a season for his entire career basically. Always lunges his chest and arms forward, he gets away with it because he usually keeps them by his side.

Even Wigan away. Was amusing at the time because he got away with it but when the ball hit his hand and he started rubbing his thigh. Pathetic. Needs to cut out the drama and concentrate on what he's done well on the whole the last couple of months.

Had a pretty decent game other than that. Better than Yanga-Mbiwa.

If you count running back towards the goal line to stand next to Tim Krul rather than challenging the forward, then yes he did.

Aye. Every defender makes mistakes, just unfortunate this one was so costly.

Leave the boy alone, he was immense tonight apart from the handball,

Without him tonight we could had been 4 or 5 down.

If it had been an honest mistake like he'd lost his man, miskicked it, scored an own goal then aye. Not for that though, he's a bell end.

Alkamaar at home 2007 comes to mind.

Needed to get something on the ball, tried his luck and would have gotten away with in a prem game, official behind the goal seen it, makes a fkn change mind as they never seem to see anything. else

All I can suggest is that when Yanga-Mbiwa missed it he was convinced someone behind him was going to tap it in so he felt he had to try something. If Krul had saved the penalty it would have been worth it I suppose.

That was on a par with Dyer in the Nou Camp for me. Just when we were thinking he was past that s***.

He's never past it, it's always in the background and is why he should never be first choice accept for injuries.

He's got to cut this shit out man ffs. He's not a young kid any more and it's just rank bad defending and it's letting him down. His overall performance was canny but when you give a give a goal away as soft as that in a 2-legged tie then you're letting your club down.

Absolutely ridiculous pen to give away. If you give one away fouling a player who's going to score then fair enough. To handball like that under no real pressure is absurd.
