Deuce
It'll be interesting to see how well WC viewership in the U.S. holds up in competition with the NFL and college football.
TaylorJ_01
Considering the World Cup is, at the moment, the most watched sporting event in the world by far I'm surprised they are jeopardising it for some Qatari loonbags and a quick buck. loki679
Imagine the outcry at who'd be in the England squad, would be delish. We'd be the only fans happy that our English players had pissed off for a month

Segun Oluwaniyi
Considering the World Cup is, at the moment, the most watched sporting event in the world by far I'm surprised they are jeopardising it for some Qatari loonbags and a quick buck. It will continue being the most watched event regardless if 2022 is held in Qatar or on the ISS. The only thing they are jeopardising in any way is attendance, but I am very sure this will still be very high. The World Cup is an unbreakable institution. It'll be interesting to see how well WC viewership in the U.S. holds up in competition with the NFL and college football. The matches will surely be on in the US morning, and those sports only have a full docket of games once per week. It shouldn't be an issue.
TaylorJ_01
I doubt it'll be that high. Literally no-one wants to go
Segun Oluwaniyi
I doubt it'll be that high. Literally no-one wants to go Check on this in seven years time. People went to scary South Africa, they went to backwards Brazil. They will go to rogue Russia. They will go to questionable Qatar. It will be fine. TaylorJ_01
That comparison couldn't be any less good.
Newcastle Fan
I doubt it'll be that high. Literally no-one wants to go People from the gulf region alone will fill the stadiums up.

Disco
Sounds like the PL are going to kick off about this, at least, stop stealing our TV monies but keep giving us sponsor monies etc.
jdckelly
and thats it I'm done with World Cups you send it to Russia despite its numerous problems with racism in stadiums and thats not getting into the real world stuff they're involved in and send it to Qatar where its illegal to be gay and they have the basic equivalent of slave labour dying to build these stadiums sorry you've killed the world cup for me. AyeDubbleYoo
Can't imagine how a WC can possibly happen in November-December. What are the Premier League going to do, just cancel all their matches?

Most of our dudes won't be off on duty while most of Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal type squads will be away. Bonus.
Village Idiot
We'll probably get a two-month winter break and make up for it in the preceding and following summer. A WC during winter, while I'm still not on holidays. This is going to suck mightily.
JH
They'll probably just start the season in July and end it in June. WC players will be f***ing knackered like
Village Idiot
Looks like La Liga will be against it too. Until they get bought off, the corrupt wankers.
Interpolic
This surely needs to be the thing that causes some top nations to tell FIFA to fuck off? Absolutely cannot be allowed to happen.
jdckelly
This surely needs to be the thing that causes some top nations to tell FIFA to fuck off? Absolutely cannot be allowed to happen. not when these nations are getting bribed as much as the confederations and FIFA. They're all corrupt top to bottom and its beyond all hope of redeeming the organisation. The really sad thing is the ones cleanest in all of this are the bloody clubs and thats mostly because they would like to kill international football full stop not that they need to do much, FIFA and UEFA seems to be doing a fair job of doing it on their own. themanupstairs
This is the absolute worst idea ever. Can't wait for things to completely go wrong either with shitstain FIFA or that shitstain country.
