Ishmael
I think Larsson is average tbh. The more i think about it the less i want him tbh. Just consider him a squad player and a massive improvement on Guthrie.

Thespence
I think Larsson is average tbh. I tend to think like this. Should be a good back up to Barton imo & adds depth to squad.
taxfree
But do Larsson want to come here to sit on the bench? Really doubt it. Btw, dunno where it is from, but copied this from a Norwegian Newcastle fansite: "On other blogs it seems Brummy fans aren`t too bothered to see him go, saying he doesn`t seem to try, and his crossing is no where near as good as people think, bit worrying!" Kind of worrying like.
Nepharite
Larsson is a solid Premier League performer with a peach of a right foot. Hardly average! I would want him in my squad any day of the week. If/when he gets here it's up to the lad to force himself into the side, somehow. Really happy that we are buying this type of player rather than taking a punt on others that have never played at the highest level in England. James
If Barton was the right side of a central midfield three, could he continue his current role, with Larsson still playing wide right? It'd be a dynamic formation. But tactics and discipline it should work no? Someone posted a solid formation with Tiote, Nolan, Barton, Larson, and HBA playing together which would be a great one. Barton Tiote Nolan Larsson Ben Arfa Carroll It might work. Simply Larsson, Barton, Simpson and Tiote can pass the ball around until one can whip it in from the right with Carroll and Nolan getting in the area, and Ben Arfa lurking outside the area to deal with any clearances. If necessary we can switch the ball to the left and let Hatem and Jose do the damage. I have this sneaking suspicion that Nolan doesn't perform playing off a lone striker as well as he does playing behind two. Do the stats and more importantly the results back this up? Barton Nolan and Tiote would continue to play the same role the currently do within the side. So Nolan would not be playing off Carroll. The two new widemen would be playing off Carroll. ChrisMcQuillan
You can't drop Nolan. We're half the team without Nolan's captaincy. Wish it weren't the case, but it's true.
