Are we safe now? YES WE ARE!

I predicted 49 points at work about a million years ago so if we don't win our last two games 5 points out isn't a bad guess?

Spurs lad reckoned they would get 71

The lads have gone really well all season and am pleased to come back from my holiday to see that we have done more than enough over the past four games to see us safe.

The hard work begins now. Pardew must have the vision to really build a team next season. A team with a playing philosophy, and one that relies on more than dogged team spirit. The recruitment process this summer (in and out) will be monumentally vital (cliche but true).

decent season overall, and certainly enjoyable in parts

All in all it's got to be a good 1st season back.

Some gutsy performances, a sprinkling of big wins and one titanic draw.

Specially considering long term injuries and a certain outgoing transfer, which haven't helped.

Well done the lads.

Newcastle United face points deduction

Newcastle United were today bracing themselves for a relegation dogfight after being called before the FA on charges of ‘serious misconduct’.

Newcastle lie bottom of the FA fair play league, and with Joey Barton a key member of the squad the FA are set to make an example of them with a potential ten point deduction.

Newcastle fans have reacted angrily to the charge with several members of internet forum ‘Newcastle Online’ being placed on suicide watch.

We tried to gauge the reaction of the playing squad, but the body language of left back Jose Enrique, leaning slightly to the left with an unconvincing look in his eye, told us all we needed to know.

More to follow.
