Hanshithispantz
I'm on the fence tbh. I've always been of the idea that we need a coach who loses all the time, but I can see where he's coming from.
Unbelievable
Seriously, every time you think Lee Ryder can't get any more cringeworthy he goes and proves the opposite.
Disco
I'd prefer it if we got a fucking wank coach in tbh. Be innovative We already have.

Nah mate, Villa tried that tactic with McCleish and look how far it got them. They lost loads of games. Coaches that win games are much better than coaches that lose games IYAM. Face facts. Guest Roger Kint
Really struggling to see what he is trying to say with this mind: One of the common misconceptions about supporters feeling there is a campaign building up for Carver are the instant reactions on social media when the Geordie coach’s quotes are fired out. But ask any reporter who attends a Newcastle Press conference – every single one of them will tell you they will file Carver quotes back to their sports desk. Just like they did with Kevin Keegan, just like they did with Sir Bobby Robson, Graeme Souness and Joe Kinnear. Seems he cant grasp the accusations he denied a few sentences earlier
Wallace
Appointing Carver would be stupid on so many levels but if that's want they want, then they better make certain they buy a lot of good players who are prepared to battle in the Summer to help him because next season will be a hell of a struggle. The one thing Ashley cannot afford is for the club to get relegated especially now we are so dependent on the TV money as he has reduced all our potential revenue streams and surely there is no more cost-cutting that can be done. We don't have players with the right character either to come straight back come again so all that careful financial management will have been for nought. midds
Whatever the views of the media or the pundits in the next 13 games, Carver is the chosen one in the eyes of his board. How effective the changes behind the scenes turn out to be will be down to how sharp and potent the process Carver has applied is. The combination of boosting team spirit, adjusting formations and getting extra information into the minds of the players will be there for all to see. Carver may be the head coach but the ethos being laid out means that all players should feel responsible for results. If Carver delivers a top 10 finish or higher there’s a chance the same process will be in motion at the start of pre-season. After City demolish us it'll be 1 win in 8. Still, at least the players are happier and he's changed formations. He's also got more information into their minds too. So it's not all bad. mosstef
this was like straight after his piece condemning "conspiracy theories" about the chron pushing carver for the job He had to write the first article in order to justify the second article? I believe Ryder is on Fat Mikes payroll. Either that or he has a serious mancrush on good ol' sexy JC.

Varadi
The propaganda machine is in full flow tonight: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-head-coach-john-8682146? John Carver is not Alan Pardew. This is a fact. In the literal sense of the word. They are two separate entities who just happened to work with one another for a few years at a football club.
