mrmojorisin75
One thing is for sure he fits in with what the club are looking for. I know that the individual who comes in will be credible and best suited for this role. First and foremost, they have to be a good coach and with a track record of developing players and giving young players a chance is important. For me, style of play is important. How they conduct themselves is also important as the head coach will play a key part in how the club is perceived through his conduct on and off the field. He fails on literally every criteria Charnley stated. I think it's fucking disgusting the way these so called club greats are putting jobs for the boys ahead of the best interests of Newcastle United. They should be fucking ashamed of themselves. i posted the same quotes the other, charnley has hung himself with that if carver gets the gig i'd say
AlanSkÃrare
Moncur is a fucking danger to the club. Wrote this when he leapt to Pardew's defence last May. http://www.themag.co.uk/2014/05/bobby-moncur-defence-indefensible/

Guest ElCid
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/john-carver-would-deserve-job-8806507 Aye Bob - he's doing a cracking job like. I'm starting to really hate this cunt
KaKa
They're just happy to have him stay, because it's someone they can be pally with, and he'll always give them access to stuff at the club. That's really all these guys in and around the media are concerned about. They really don't care about how the club actually does. It's absolutely terrible. AyeDubbleYoo
I actually can't imagine the level of 'journalist' who goes along with this stuff. One of the proudest clubs in the country - a one-club city, their city, the city that they write about seven days a week - is being absolutely Pardewed in the worst ways and they don't even want to expose it or ask questions. They genuinely should all be banished north of the wall.
Unbelievable
Bob Moncur is not a journalist though.

Varadi
Apparently Steve Harper now saying its Carver's job to loose If only winning 2 games out of 10 isn't enough to lose him it then what the fuck will be??
ScottishMagpie
But think of those 'free' games we've had and the cup tie doesn't count because of "freakish" breakout of couldntgiveafuckitis.
NG32
How come we have a player with a collapsed lung and is out for the season, yet we have a coach with a collapsed brain and he is allowed to continue??
Sima
How come we have a player with a collapsed lung and is out for the season, yet we have a coach with a collapsed brain and he is allowed to continue?? *lick* Let me tell you, son. Managing with a collapsed brain is the height of bravery, *lick*. Bob and Gary said so as they appeared to me in the bottom of a pint of Carlsberg. Nattfare
Listen, it's quite obvious that it's enough that we stay up for Carver to be given the job, if I'm honest. *lick* Let me tell you he'll have the post until he fails really miserably or snaps and walks. The job will then be given to someone below him like Stone, Woodman or Beardsley. None of them fill me with any anticipation at all. *lick* It's more likely that they will put the tea lady in charge before they'd ever consider putting someone qualified in charge. So hear me now when I tell you that sir Bobby told me all this in a recent dream I had. *lick* *gets tongue stuck in a wrinkle*
Ronaldo
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/john-carver-would-deserve-job-8806507 Aye Bob - he's doing a cracking job like. He would work well with Lee Charnley and Graham Carr and I think three heads are better than one with transfers. Anybody who has managed knows how much pressure is on the shoulders of one man making the decisions. I remember in my days as Carlisle United manager and being told I had a budget of £60,000 for signing players. I wanted to sign Mick Tait from Oxford United and we eventually thrashed out a £59,950 fee! Taity proved to be a good signing and we sold him to Hull for more than twice that price, but not every deal works out and it’s often the manager that takes the blame when they go wrong. So for me, the system works well. Die in a fire, you old cunt.

So, in order to defend the current setup, he gives a personal example that actually doesn't support the current setup (he had full control of that transfer and it went well), but makes him look good. NG32
He has defo got the gig, they are just trying to convince the vast majority of fans that he is the righ man now, while most fans if not all think he vastly under qualified for the role. Carver will suit Ashley, happy to be in the job no matter what happens, wont rock the boat and will do as he is told, while Ashley creams the money of of United. Carver ticks every box for Ashley.
