Carroll's an absolutely colossal loss, but we don't need to panic buy. We're safe this season. Let's not waste this money we've just been given. Only one remotely similar to Carroll would be Dan Taylor, but that'd be a HUGE ask. He's improved over the last 12 months, in that he's now scoring goals to go with his excellent targetman play, but this is at U18 level. I've always been a fan of his. Not quite sure why he gets such bad press. As you say, anything under £10m and it'd cushion the blow of losing Carroll somewhat. I'd rather have him than any of the other names mentioned this evening. But we don't need to spend daft on him, no way. Hopefully we can bring someone a little bit pacier in aswell. 3 hours right.. no problem. Expect to hear in the morning that our hierachy worked tirelessly but we had a last minute bid for Elmander rejected and SWP's wage demands were too high.
