The fall of Fenerbache could make up for som bargains for the Toon!

Yesterday Fenerbache was kicked out of the champions league since they have been invovled in fixing matches.

Today they ask to be moved down to the turkish second division to get the club back on track after the scandal.

Lots of players should start looking for the exit door.

Lugano is a great defender and Alex is an interesting attacker.

Also Mamadou Niang and Andre Santos could be good players for us

At this stage I think its time to exploit the loan market and  postpone sorting out our problems for the time being ( perhaps, except for a ST) in order to avoid panic buying.

PvA, Santon, Pedro Leon, and possibly even Bendtner ( if it drags on) are hopefully possibilities.

After watching today the board must have seen that, even though he scored twice, Best will not take us forward. Add Lovens, Raylor and Simpson to Best and they all need replacing. Final negotiation will be ongoing now for Pieters, Cissokho, Santon (loan), Maiga and Roux. Best sold to Birmingham, Forest or elsewhere in Championship, Simpson to Qpr, Lovens back to Rangers and the Season will look so much more optomistic. Dont give up hope yet

Krul

Santon  Pieters  Colo  Cissokho

Obertan  Cabaye  Tiote  Ben Arfa

Roux  Maiga

Bench  Saylor,  Ba,  Shola,  Marveaux,  Guti,  Vuckic,  Keeper

The fat lady aint singing yet.

Good player is Benayoun, reckon he'd be going for just a few million too. Unlucky with injuries in recent times but would be a better option than Jonas.

Benayoun in talks with several Premier League clubs. Perhaps we are one of them.

Hopefully we'll get him in on the cheap.

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has posted on Twitter that he is on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge.

Benayoun, 31, has seen just one minute of action for the Blues this season and looks to be surplus to requirements following the arrival of fellow midfielder Juan Mata from Valencia.

It has been rumoured Benayoun would be included in an offer from Chelsea for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric.

"Negotiating with several teams... news soon," wrote Benayoun.

Newcastle have also been linked with the Israel captain, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool last summer on a free transfer.

Benayoun was restricted to 10 appearances for the club last season due to an Achilles injury, which kept him out for six months.

As good a player as he is, we don't really need him imo.

Who have we signed or going to sign over the next 2 days then?

Tomorrow morn Santon will be here

At right back or left back? We have no idea

Cissokho comes too for the optimists amongst us

For in Daddy Simpson we no longer have trust

On the side of caution we do adhere

For in both cases Arsene could last minute interfere

Upfront? Modibo, Mevlut or non-rotund Nolan

Will provide the necessary 15 - 20 goal scoring

Some fear the arrival of a "Sully" Muntari

Who no longer plays like he did under Harry

All said and done we all remain clueless

For Mike and Derek have proved rather useless
