Would love him to be the new Sib.

See no reason why not tbh.  Just needs to put the work in, i'm sure he might have fancied himself with some of the chances we created today.

Chris Kamara has defended Newcastle’s signing of Shefki Kuqi.

After the last-minute sale of main targetman Andy Carroll during the transfer window Alan Pardew was left short of attacking options with only youngster Nile Ranger, inexperienced Leon Best to choose from.

But this week Pardew dipped into the transfer market to sign free agent Kuqi in a bid to strengthen his side’s choice of strikers and Kamara defended the signing, claiming the Newcastle boss was left with little choice.

“You have to say needs must,” he told talkSPORT. “[Newcastle] lost their best striker at a minute to 11pm on the transfer deadline. They had no time whatsoever to make contingency plans or Alan Pardew didn’t because he was thinking I want to keep Andy Carroll.

“They should have made contingency plans within those 24 hours but they didn’t so they’ve left themselves short. So now you can only sign players who are not at any football club.

“Shefki Kuqi is adding to the numbers. If he comes on as a substitute and causes a few problems he’s done alright for Alan Pardew.

“If he comes on and scores a goal, he’s done brilliant. If he plays the best football of his career then he’s been a magician and Alan Pardew will be carried round Newcastle on the fans shoulders.”

They'll get married on top of a mountain' date=' and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs. And then they will dance till the sun rises! And then their children will form a family band! And they will tour the countryside and you won't be invited![/quote']
