Martin Lol
Seems to be a straightforward mistake .................. according to bluemoon Probably barking up the wrong tree here but think about it for a second...we live in a footballing hotbed city where players and fans of both top clubs mingle in everyday life. Could it be that, say, a United-supporting chef at San Carlo put something in Kolo's food? Wouldn't put it past someone doing that, bet it's been done before. Deluded or what? James
Only the stupid or accidental would get caught by an FA test. Meanwhile the clever dopers remain two steps ahead of the testers throughout world sport. Especially the Spanish.
Stottie
He says its one of his wife's diet pills, so maybe ephedrine. I dunno about now but it used to be legal in the States not so long ago.

Ephedrine is what Paddy Kenny got done for, he got 9 months. It works as a stimulant. The story is that he was worried about his weight. Ironic, as there was a Blue Moon thread last year about how we (Spurs) must be on drugs. Arf.

The Manchester City defender, 29, has been suspended after testing positive for a specified substance. But Toure's ex-boss Wenger has spoken to the player and said: "He wants to control his weight a little bit because that's where he has some problems. LRD
It's just silly that he's being paid big bucks and yet doesn't keep to the basic rule that all professional sportsmen should let the club doctor check all supplements and meds before consumption. He has only himself to blame for getting into this mess. Pretty sure Nolan isn't taking any diet pills though.
