I thought 'The Gremlins' were a thing of the past? It would appear not....

One of them has been banned from going to games;

I've always heard of this group during my time supporting Newcastle, but I thought in recent years they had disbanded and disappeared back under the rocks they crawled out from? Load of wasters - whoever they are.

Weren't they quite new by hooligan standards (with Newcastle previously only having an "Intercity Firm" common to many clubs)?  Remember suddenly they announced who they were, had little business cards printed, painted "GREMLINS" behind the east stand and within a week most of them had been nicked thanks to their inability to keep any kind of low profile and that was that.

Also, just in the first few paragraphs

face of football

Toon thug

casual clobber

centre of chaos.

dossier of disorder

Is this journo paid per use of alliteration?

Heard some kids at the reserve game the other week singing something about The Gremlins

Were they singing the theme tune in "NAH NA NAH NAH NA NAH" style like in the film?

One of my mates was walking near the ground during an evening game a few years back. Some rough looking skinhead bloke approached her and said "are you a gremlin?" She replied "err no" and moved on then texted me with something like "some bloke's just asked if I'm a gremlin, what is it with fucking Harry Potter fans". I pissed myself laughing for ages after I rang her to explain. :lol: I was mainly amazed she didn't say that to his face because she quite often comes out with poorly thought comments.
