Pilko
Was during his twilight season when he played RB but remember him putting in one of the best crosses I've ever seen for a Sibierski diving header against Reading at home. Loved Nobby, proper player.
Toon No9
Absolutly brilliant player. Seems to be a nice bloke with a big heart. Also used to play his trumpet in the dressing room!
morla84
Seem to remember reading in the ronny when he signed that his party trick was heading the ball while running the length of the pitch and then scoring. Yet to see any evidence?
toontownman
In my all time favourite XI no doubt. Complete legend and still a little underrated in comparison to some of the other excellent singers we have had.

Jesse Pinkman
Which modern day player is closest to in terms of type of player to Solano? I’m struggle quite a bit with this.
Guest
Antonio Valencia always reminded me a bit of him.

Guest
Might just be that he seems likeable, Latin American, RW turned RB and good crosser of the ball.
Disco
Don’t really get many widemen in his mould these days. No one springs to mind anyway. In terms of one touch to settle, immediate whipped cross then Ritchie isn’t a million miles off. Totally different aside from that though.
David Edgar
The only player I can think of is JWP. Wide player who isn't pacy and has decent technique striking a ball. Not a great comparison.
xLiaaamx
Solano was much more agile and able to play one-twos and pass and move than either of them. I actually feel he'd be even more suited to the game now.
Infinitely Content
Was going to say James Ward-Prowse given his versatility, set piece ability and that he was successfully used as a RB/RWB this season. However, Nobby was more technical than him and better in forward positions. Therefore I'll go with somewhere between Ward-Prowse and Arda Turan. Gallowgate End
What a footballer Nobby was That midfield 4 and front 2 Sir Bobby built was breathtaking to watch at times. The signings of Robert and Bellamy gave our attacking play a devastating mix with the delivery of Solano and Shearer up front.
Collage
OK, so what do you choose: Robert-Speed-Dyer-Solano and Bellamy-Shearer OR Ginola-Batty-Lee-Beardsley/Gillespie and Ferdinand-Shearer ?
