He was injured for large parts when we were s*** last season, and has been fit the majority of our good one and a half seasons.

Unless people are putting last season's farce down to his injury, those stats mean nowt. He's an awesome footballer but I'd not take much notice of that.

Surely thats the point though?  :lol: Aye him being out wouldn't have been the only factor but it was certainly one of them.

The "without cabaye" stats anyway. I don't think we'd have been much better off last season had he not missed as many games.

If he values him at £15-18m, why make such a noise about £14m?

He said he values him at 15-18m but in this market he's worth closer to 30.

When you consider the players that have gone for over 20 and 30 its hard to argue with it tbh :lol:

@CaulkinTheTimes

Ashley's valuation of Cabaye said to be £25m ish. PSG bid well below that. #Nufc say no contact from #Mufc as yet. Testing few days ahead.

It'll go right to the wire, and it will be the team that suffer ultimately.

"Testing few days ahead", what a load of s**** that is.

:sadnod:

why give a valuation...I never understand this, just say 'no' unless they offer something you can't ignore.  That is assuming you're trying to keep him at all costs.

I predict a panic offer of about £25m from PSG or Man Utd on deadline day, or towards the end of the week. With us accepting and being up shit creek with no replacement until the end of the season. We're safe from relegation, so Ashley and co probably couldn't care less if he goes now or in the summer.

Its being presented and often interpreted as if Cabaye was basically the only difference between the wins and losses though, when as you say he's only one reason.  For example last season Cabaye came back right when we signed a few very good players who came into the side and helped us start winning again.  Cabaye's a big reason for our wins, but those stats are a bit misleading.

I think if there's a deadline day 'panic' bid...we'll squeeze every penny we can...ie make them go to 26-28m.

I'm basing this on absolutely nothing.
