Aren't you absolutely knackered from a PSR perspective on taking a (notable) loss on players you've recently signed? Find it highly unlikely Forest would give us anything like we paid, even if they're soon-to-be flush with cash after Anderson sale.

His replacements haven't really hit the ground running like. They've spent quite a bit of money on players that haven't done anything. Hutchinson/Ndoye/Bakwa

I could see them bidding £40M for him.

Forest ITKs speculating they're in for Elanga.

If this happens I'm going to.try my hardest to resist putting a grand on him scoring against us next season.

I'm not a betting man, but that seems like easy free money...

I’d have to take a bulk consignment of zinc tablets and eat 300 oysters but the sight of seeing him not in an NUFC shirt would be worth the friction burns.

Ndoye got to be in the running for top 10 worst signings of the season like.

More chance of Gordon move breaking down and him playing up front for us and being league top scorer than Us selling Elanga back to Forest after one season

Is PSR not irrelevant after 30th June?

Let's all chip in for the petrol.

What was it Freddy Shepherd said, sat in his car, about Michael Owen when a fan stopped him? "I'll fookin' carry him back"

Here's the maths.

£55m over 5 years - £11m fee amortisation per year. We sell before 30 June then book value is £44m and anything less than that is a loss for PSR.

Roll forward to 1st July and the 26/27 amortisation is booked in, i.e we take £11m hit regardless so a sale of £33m and above breaks us even for the year but with no gain psr wise. We would save his wages however.

The smarter move is to send him on loan with obligation for a year, take a £5m loan fee then £33m next July. But that's pigs might fly fees for him at this point

I'd be ecstatic even if we got 30m back for him. Same goes for Wissa, happy to take a loss

Aye, I’d take between a £15m to £20m loss on each of them. Get them out, can’t be going into next season with Elanga as our supposed first choice RW

Aye, I know. It’s absolutely gutting how bad our decision making was last summer. As a club, we can’t afford to take risks like Wissa, massively overpaying for someone who’s had one good goalscoring season and who’s late 20s. At least with Elanga he has age on his side and he has discernible attributes that some teams will still value

If only we had got him on a free like Demba Ba...

He'd still get shit because of his lack of output, but less of it. 😄
