We will have an overall budget but I don't think we'll have a serious cap on individual wages. We'll have different caps for different players. Players playing in important positions will have a higher cap. Younger players, lower. Does anyone think Debuchy will be on 50k? I highly doubt it. Since bosmans don't cost anything in fees to other clubs, our wage limit for them will obviously be higher than players who cost money. I imagine that most players we buy will get a loyalty payment from their previous club, meaning that they would in general accept lower weekly wages. Ba's a good player but under Pardew we don't flourish as a team with him as the main man. I'd love to see what a decent manager could do with our team.
