Cajun
Him scoring 15 the season beforehand id imagine. They obviously think theyll get the best out of him by fitting a player of his nature in the system theyre imagining, so are probably hoping he'll better that also. only done it once though. losing nolan and carrolls goals and replacing them with Ba and Erdinc. not saying they cant replace them, but neither have as good strikerates as those 2, and even with Carroll and Nolan we needed further striking options. The loss of oNolan is looking worse every day How does Ba not have as good a strike rate?

(Mainly because he only joined the PL in January, of course.) Could be the next Amr Zaki for all we know. (Hopefully not! )
Cajun
I know what you mean but he has done it at every club he has been at. I don't he is much less proven than Carroll in the premier league. He scored all sorts of goals too so that's a good sign imo. But yeah, the statement was neither have as good strike rates as Carroll and Nolan which isn't correct, it's not Ba's fault he only had 11 games in the premier league so far but even that short spell and his previus clubs says his strike rate is as good as theirs. The loss of oNolan is looking worse every day Erdincs strike rate for his last 4 seasons in the top flight is much better than Nolans. Carroll will be hard to replace, but we're probably replacing him with two good strikers in Ba and Erdinc if we get him also. Nolan is being covered by Cabaye really & Ben Arfa if people will stop tryna cripple the poor fella.
Gallowgate Toon
Ba's a very good player, he'll surprise many. Very talented and very versatile in that he has a lot of assets in all areas of attack. Tall, quick, strong, intelligent, good finisher and will add a lot to general play both on and off the ball.

Disco
If we do sign him, hopefully we can get some decent pre-season into him as he and Ba will need to hit the ground running giving the HBA injury, still doubtful (although I've not seen him) if he is the type of player we need mind. Guest BooBoo
Luke Edwards is a proper little bellend like. Real mackem symapathiser when he was at The Journal. Rather read Egg Ryder's stuff anyday.
ujpest doza
Not that I think Shola is behind Best in the striking order, but either way Shola will get plenty of minutes on the pitch over the course of the season I am sure. Dear God I Hope Not.
TRon
Why is Luke being such a pain in the arse? wasn't it yesterday that Douglas was tweeting about unbelievable stuff going on in the unhappy NUFC camp in the States on the basis of what Brenner from the Sun was leaking? They are peddling trash to sell papers man. None of them have a clue.
Guest
Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ba, Erding. No ambition since we've came back up like.
Dave
Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ba, Erding. No ambition since we've came back up like. Imagine how good we could be if we were willing to add to that with the 'fantastic' money we brought in for Carroll, and weren't going into the season still relying on Smith, Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Guthrie, Perch and friends in case of the inevitable injuries and suspensions. Pilko
Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ba, Erding. No ambition since we've came back up like. It's all relative ffs, if we were genuinely on the bare bones of our arse then that would be absolutely outstanding. We've brought in £39m worth of fees since January and spent £4.6m, roughly £10m should we get Erding. That's shit.

Guest
Until they're sold, we're stuck with them. Can you see Ashley justifying signing more players and having the likes of Smith and Perch on the books but not registered? Harper, Krul, Forster R.Taylor, S.Taylor, Coloccini, Enrique, Williamson, Simpson, Perch Ben Arfa, Jonas, Marveaux, Cabaye, Barton, Guthrie, Tiote, Routledge, Smith Ba, Erding, Ameobi, Xisco, Lovenkrands, Best Unfortunately until the likes of Routledge, Smith & Xisco definitely leave, we have no space. I agree with your point. But to digress slightly, Ameobi and Guthrie as 4th choice in their position is fine imo.
