All I know about him is that he's done a superb job at Porto. I don't really dislike Chelsea, not compared to when Abramovich first came on the scene. Although I still think their treatment of Ancelotti was a disgrace.

Either way, I'm interested in seeing how a young and up and coming manager with his reputation will do in the Premier League.

He'll do really well there. Probably win them the CL in the next 3/4 years as long as he's given that long.

No chance!

I think he will, they'll give him atleast the season free as they're paying 13mil for him, and he'll win the league in his second season, so won't be sacked then.

Spot on. Chelsea are a lot more 'meh' than they used to be IMO.

Very interested to see how Villas-Boas copes with the pressure and constant media tossers. Can't imagine they're as bad in Porto and he couldn't have taken over at Porto at a better time so the pressure wasn't really flat out on him from the start due to the horror of a season they had in 09/10 by their standards.

He seems a really likeable bloke and proper football bloke, I wonder how long it'll be before he starts to rile people if at all.

I heard his granny was from the Northeast, if it's true someone should make her convince him to come here in the future  :snod:

Good luck to him, think it's amazing that he's a young man who's a specialist coach/manager and never been a player.

Me and TheGuv (TheGuv and I) will be managing the Toon within the next 5 years.

got a feeling theres going to be a lot of players shoved out the door at chelsea, can't see Drogba or Anelka there for the new season and I wouldn't bet against the likes of Lampard been moved on either

I will get my application in now then for the position of club chauffeur, about the only useful thing I can do these days.

On the Chelsea subject, Abromivich will never get what he wants if he doesn't look slightly longer term than trying to instant win everything.
