Any word on his injury?

Pards reckons he'll be alright, although last time he said that the player ended up being out for a month so who knows.

Heard a rumour he was actually ok and was only subbed to warm up the can-can girls before their half time routine.

How quickly he came off confirms to me he knows it is all part of recurring back/hamstring problem.

Seems like he is managing an injury tbh. Won't be long out but he is at risk of a hamstring tear in the long run.

Cheers Doc.

A couple of months ago, statistics website WhoScored.com revealed that Coloccini had the worst aerial success rate for any Premier League centre-back this season – a surprising revelation. The personal problems that prompted Newcastle’s captain to request a transfer shouldn’t be ignored, of course, but they seem to be affecting his performance on the pitch.

As well as the aerial weakness, his positional play has been poor – witness his odd positioning for Bale’s second goal in Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat at Tottenham earlier this month. Coloccini was alongside Vincent Kompany in last year’s PFA Team of the Year – he won’t be elected for a second consecutive season.

Good summation of him this season as a whole.

How was his positioning poor for Bale's goal? Or how has his positioning been poor in general? That's absolute bollocks.

Not surprised by that at all.

He's always been p*ss poor in the air, he's great at intercepting balls coming into the box but ultimately he's a 6ft tall centre back of average build.

Is "always been piss poor in the air" really the right judgement of a CB who was selected for PFA Team of the Year 10 months ago?

It's not his best area. He is not piss poor. Wins a fair few.

I don't agree with it but Dropout is only expressing his opinion absolutely no need for the pathetic response.

Ah, shut up man, you big daft bairn.
