ExiledGeordie
Complete liability who should've been moved on but as per usual we decided against buying someone decent to fill the position.

Exactly. It's fucking madness. Coloccini's spent the last couple of seasons (at least) looking ludicrously vulnerable against even the poorest of strikers. Something like this is always on the verge of happening with him such are his physical deficiencies

Ketsbaia
Cannot stand Colo but that was never a red card, probably not a pen. He's a prick but this was all about the referee.
Big Geordie
We've all known that Colo has been on the wane for some time. Another brilliant choice by the regime to always pick the cheaper option.

Wullie
Elliott's more to blame than Coloccini for that situation. Really pitiful goalkeeping.
Guest chopey
I think Dummetts poor performance at left back today was a good audition for him to move to the centre.

BONTEMPI
I think Dummetts poor performance at left back today was a good audition for him to move to the centre. He's been totally crap every time he's been at left back so why the fuck do they persist with playing him there.
Disco
With Wijnaldum wanting to cut in all the time and Dummett being unable to do anything other than pass the ball to a centre back it pretty much means we can only attack down the right which is a bit of hinderance really. So aye, he'd probably move him central too.

Mattoon
I think it's fair to say that if Colo had been replaced by a semi-decent defender then this situation wouldn't have arisen as Fletcher would have been outrun and we'll covered. However that doesn't detract from the fact he was treated harshly by the referee for a shoulder to shoulder challenge.
The College Dropout
The situation came about because Colo and Elliot are so slow. That's their fault. Penalty. Red card. Very harsh imo but only happened because of the first problem.

The College Dropout
The Football Association's law on impeding an opponent says: " A player who places himself between an opponent and the ball for tactical reasons has not committed an offence as long as the ball is kept within playing distance and the player does not hold off the opponent with his arms or body. "If the ball is within playing distance, the player may be fairly charged by an opponent."
Dokko
Club cheaped out getting a replacement for him and now we're stuck with him for even longer. It was a make or break decision and after years of wanting him gone I was prepared to see how the move to keep him panned out. Well it's panned out fucking shit...as expected. This man cost us HBA, he was responsible for seeing him out the door so much more than Pardew.
Geordie Ahmed
Colo needed to be moved on and another CB bought, of course a quicker defender stays ahead of Fletcher BUT it doesn't change what was a joke of a penalty and sending off
sempuki
No way it's going to happen but think we need 5 in January: 1. Keeper to replace the tub of lard (unless Darlow is up to the job which I doubt) 2. New CB 3. New LB 4. New CM 5. New CF We need to get it right or it's back to the Championship. We would only need 1 quality addition with the attributes the team needs in CB or CM to be comfortable. Get both and we have something pretty tasty. Won't happen.
