Overreaction central in here again then.

He was our best attacking player just last week. Thats one whole week ago ??

Hes been effective in other games. Criticize him for today yeah, destroying him as a footballer in general on today is embarrassing.

He's shit most of the time, not all of the time.

He was bad today, and I'm a fan. I think he just thought he couldn't beat Cole for pace, which might be true TBH.

As simple as that. He was matched today. He'll have better games in future, he had been improving recently.

Stoke & Man u showed he has more in him. Loads of reactionary frustration today going over the top, as usual.

He has alot of pace. Why the hell doesnt he use it and skip past players instead and f***ing about with the ball and then giving it away. Alien headed f***er.

This.

Honestly got no idea why he doesn't just knock the ball down the touchline and run. Even when he's got acres of space he'll cut inside of play it back to Simpson. When Sammy came on he'd get the ball and just sprint up the line with it, won us quite a few corners and throws from it. Also set up Shola a couple of times.

Guthrie picked him out loads today and while he managed to bring it under control, he completely wasted it time and time again. When a large part of your tactic is the raking pass to him he's really got to be doing more. Large part of the reason we looked so toothless today.

He did track back a lot in the second half, presumably because Pardew bollocked him for not doing so in the first 45. Aside from that he was nothing more than frustrating, i counted at least 8 opportunities for him to cross first time but instead chose to draw two men to him then simply fell over. If he starts against Norwich there's something seriously up. What exactly, is any fuckers guess.

Pretty much. Nothing wrong with the lad except his decision making, which obviously is largely detrimental to our attacking play. He could be such a vital cog on that right hand side but lets himself down again and again. Needs dropped no doubt about it.

To be fair to him, Ashley Cole is still a bloody good player. Solid as fuck today, the cunt that he is.

Still, he had a poor game and I'd have put Sammy on for him rather than Lovenkrands.

Crossing was poor and he didn't seem to have the confidence to beat Cole.

He was also rank for their first goal when he made no effort to prevent the throw in and assumed it was ours when the cross had quite clearly deflected up off taylor.
