Chris_R
Anyone can score a goal, so welcome though that is it shouldn't be the defining factor in "having a good game", but I really thought he played very well tonight. We've seen his raw place enough in the past to know that's there, but he showed some real skill as well at times in getting past his man tonight. I thought he, Ferguson and Sameobi were excellent tonight.

Mole_Toonfan
The transformation to Obermars is underway.
themanupstairs
Gave the ball away with his first touch, and I thought, "here we go again". Fantastic throughout. Excellent goal. Well played son.
Disco
MoM again in Europe by a way. Well played son. Really took the game to them and a lovely finish to boot.
TherealnorthernTOON
Liked the look of his walk after winning the first corner, he showed some confidence.
Tiresias
Glad he's getting some confidence and based on that I'd be happy to see him get more pitch time, though obviously not at Ben Arfa's expense
Guest neesy111
I have much more confidence in Obertan as an attacking entity than Jonas from the last few months.
Pilko
Dead similar to his other goal in an NUFC shirt funnily enough Scoring and being MOTM at St. James must be a great confidence booster for the lad though. I think the European games suit him a bit more, just like they do with Shola.
Jack Flash
I don't want to get back into the "omg it's all the fans' fault!" stuff but the atmosphere and general vibe of these European games is very different (both on and off the pitch) to the vibe in league games. They're nearer to friendlies in that regard and it suits him very well. He does things in these games he doesn't do in the league and that definitely holds him back in bigger matches. TaylorJ_01
Did about as well as he can given his limited ability. Keep it up and he could be a useful option.
Cajun
I really don't think he has particularly limited ability, It's just what Jack Flash said, a lack of confidence to try thing under a more intense atmosphere.
AlanSkÃrare
Much more direct approach this season. Uses his pace, gets some sort of cross in and has now got a goal as well. Bodes well. With his pace and technique he should be a useful player. Hopefully he'll be rewarded now with some game time in the premiership.
Skirge
Thought he used the ball much better last night, seemed a lot more aware of what was around him.
buzza
Jeesuz, he's only 23, looks about ten years older! Finally starting to get to grips with taking on the final defender!!!
sugoinufc
gained some weight, right? looks stronger and still very fast. i have been very hard on him, but he is doing well in the european matches. In the PL he should still be on the bench as he isn´t good enough....stil prefer ferguson over him on the LW....if changes are made. He is a very good option to have on the bench...especially late on in the game. keep it up, son...i might have to eat my own words.
PCW1983
WTF was going on with him and Fergie last night towards the end of the game, just about when Cabaye came on. They seemed to be arguing about who was playing on the LW. Looked like Fergie told him to go RW and he just didn't.
Lotus
Said a while ago that i reckoned he would look better on the left. Thought he played well last night, gave the youngsters some confidence to have him there.

They seemed to be arguing about who was playing on the LW. Looked like Fergie told him to go RW and he just didn't. We went back to 4-3-3 with Obertan left and Cisse right, Fergie filled in as the 3rd CM until Cabaye replaced him. Confusing.
Ishmael
Fergie playing the Messi withdrawn role. Comparisons absolutely intended.
Beren
What does everyone make of Obertan's stamina? He can drift in and out of games, that much we know, but last night it seemed like he still had running in him until the last. That said, he seemed to be breathing heavy too. Can never tell with him personally.
Jack Flash
I don't think he gets fatigued but he does have a habit of dropping out of games and hiding behind other players which gives the impression he's tired. When he gets the ball he's fine.

aussiemag
Hes defiantely at his best when he opts to knock it past the fullback, either side, run onto it and cross it. His crossing is generally very good and 9/10 hell beat the fullback for strength and pace. The problems arise in Obertans game, when he dwells on the ball and cuts inside. He doesnt have the silky dribbling skills of HBA to get away with it and is too indecsive to make an effective pass. Best just to keep beating his man and getting the ball in the box/ having a shot. arnonel
Would have been interesting if he spent the last 4 years developing into a striker - has some of the tools to be dangerous
