WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Still lives in Cullercoats doesn't he? I'm sure he said ages ago his entire family had relocated (parents, in-laws etc).

Joey Linton
Pleased for him. An average keeper at best, but he's a good lad Rob.

Barnes23
Not sure why anyone would remember him too fondly after his comments re: Ben Arfa, Pardew, the fanbase etc... never mind the fact he was a poor keeper. Most likely got this gig at Gateshead the same way he got a place in our squad - jobs for the boys rather than on merit or ambition. Honestly who knows how much of it is true or remembered correctly. Seeing a player in public and pressing them arguing with them to get them to try and slag their manager off is a bit embarrassing. I don't know. The fact that it apparently went from Pardew is doing a decent job under difficult circumstances, to all Newcastle fans are deluded and think we should be in the champions League oh and Keegan was a shite manager seems a bit made up or exaggerated. I can guarantee, this isn’t a job for the boys appointment, the ‘Heed are more better run than we ever were under Ashley these days, I know the owners/custodians. Pretty sure the source was @TheGuv on here, who was adamant that none of it was misrepresented and is as reliable as they come from what I remember. He seemed to forget that we’ve been awful for months, not just 4 games. He was having none of it and bleated on about work rate and other things that apparently help you win football matches (yes, because it’s working at the moment, eh?). Quote proceeded to tell him that we’ve never came back to win a game when trailing at half-time under Pardew. He got aggressive and barked that it was “total lies.” I pushed him on this remark and asked him when was the last time we won from a losing position at half-time? He told me they had done it with Pardew at Charlton!!! Quote Of course I’m wrong, according to Pards and Elliot. Elliot lambasted Ben Arfa by saying he’s only set up, at most, 3 goals this season and that HBA has been SOLELY responsible for 7-8 goals that we’ve conceded this season. According to Elliot the players hate him as he has no work rate and that he hasn’t the right attitude. If that’s true I can understand why, when he’s told to defend rather than attack… I told Eliott that the last time we scored a goal was due to the work of Ben Arfa. Yes, he replied, but he has no work rate. Quote He then proceeded to tell me that Keegan is a worse manager than Pardew and had no respect from the players. I raged at this point and had to push him on the fact that Keegan made the Newcastle fans BELIEVE in ourselves and showed us how great Newcastle United can truly be. His argument was that the Newcastle fans think they deserve to be in the Champions League by rights and we need to know our level. I disagreed. ‘Where should we be then?’ he asked. I replied that just a bit of fight, belief and trying to play games with attacking intent could secure a higher PL finish than we’ll ever achieve with cowardly football and tactics. ‘Na’, he says. ‘8th or 9th is our level.’
Stal
He can fuck off, pardew apologist. I can forgive him being a shit keeper, I won't forgive his fawning over pardew.
jack j
Ha fair enough hadn't seen any of this before I bumped into him at the vending machines in maternity of the RVI the day my first was born. St. Maximin
Comments that caused an overreaction imo. HBA gets a lot of protection here due to how Pardew handled him. It’s pretty clear he had a terrible attitude and has caused problems everywhere he’s been. A real shame as he’s one of the most talented dribblers the PL has ever seen. Dr.Spaceman
I've definitely read a lot worse on here regarding HBA. Sure Pardew still has his "Well he did take us to a 5th place finish" fan club too. Elliot wasn't a fan like us, he's was an employee, of course his opinions were going to be different to ours. Tsunami
He clearly loves it up here and said years ago that this would be his home. Seem to remember a tale that after an injury to Dubs or Darlow that he couldn’t be on the bench (Saturday 3pm game) as he was going out with the wife.
