Lush Vlad
How do we know the severity though? Might have had half his knee taken out last time, now just trim the fat The fact he has had 2 maybe 3 ops on the same knee is a bit of a worry though. Has he got any menisucs (sp) left? Guest H09
Hope we kept the receipt as he should still fall in the manufacturers warranty.
colinmk
It's nice to have some real squad depth after raking in 45m+ in transfers over the past year!
Lush Vlad
http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110916/santon-injury-update_2281670_2452970 Not really sure what to make of that TBH. Not sure if it's better or worse? Apparently not related to his previous injury and seeing a specialist early next week. Not like they've played down how serious it is though, waiting for the swelling to go down perhaps?
SUPERTOON
Sounds like they don't know how serious it is.

JH
"Davide was injury free when he completed his pre-signing medical examination and scans. The injury he sustained on Thursday is not connected to his previous injuries." I actually can't believe they included that ^ in there. What an utterly ridiculous and unprofessional thing to say in an 'official statement'. Such a "Well he was fine when he got there so we're not to blame ner ner nerrr"

alpal78
so is he having the surgery then? I thought he was definitely having surgery but now we are not sure? Any chance that this positive?
powellnufc
Artheroscopy (keyhole surgery for meniscus) is very minimal, takes around 5-10 minutes on the table and usually are walking the same day. So is possible he could be back in 4 weeks, all depends how big the tear is.
Dr Venkman
Another Mike Ashley gamble pays off Hope you´re not serious We are down to 2 fit CB and 0 fit LB. We are playing a RB/RM out of position already, you dont think theres been a massive gamble on our paltry defensive cover? yep. although we're doing well defensively and picking up points i maintain that we're a long term injury to saylor or colo away from a relegation battle. lose either of them and we'll collapse like a pack of cards imo
James
Club strikes me as really defensive on this one. They sign a right footed utility wide player when other left back deals can't be completed, and yet upon signing him blew all this NEW LEFT BACK fanfare. Now he is injured, they have immediately jumped in with all this defence. I think Llambias has realised he has cocked up, and is now arranging for statements to be released that cover his own arse. Guest H09
I don't believe Santon exists, if he does I don't believe we signed him or any left back, this is all one big lie.

You need your head checked. Ridiculous comments. Santon is the best option available nevermind the price. He is a left back FFS, he made his name there and has been starting for Italy at that position as well.
ExiledGeordie
I'm sure I read that he would now have treatment on the knee over this weekend and be assessed early next week to see if he has to have an op of any sort.

Cajun
James is really starting to annoy me now Does he bang on this much about Jonas being right footed? Did he think Wenger was a moron for playing Pires on the left wing or have they fucked up Lahm's career? Was Maldini wasted? Basically, fuck off with this shit melon head!
