Lush Vlad
Echo the last 3 comments. Another decent performance, looks able at the back as well as going forward now. Just a shame he's so one footed. Still think we'll see him at right back next season.
BeloEmre
Pardew said in his post-match interview on nufc.co.uk that he thinks this was Santon's best game for Newcastle.
Dave
Excellent once again. That time when he kept the ball in down by the Leazes corner took great skill.
Flip
Was good, but dont agree it was his best match for us.

Yorkie
He was alright. Superb bit of control to keep the ball in, midway through the first half. Like a broken record i know, but can't wait to see him down the right. The weak cross after that bit of play just epitomised the situation really - not that it's the worst he's attempted. David Icke - Son of God
Pardew said in his post-match interview on nufc.co.uk that he thinks this was Santon's best game for Newcastle. It'd have to go some way to better his performance against Man United but it wasn't far off.
Cajun
I like David Day, good full back and still well proper young.

Guest
Really has been like Jose's first season. Hopefully like Enrique, he'll get the rest of the season.
Guest optimistic nit
really would like us to sign a left back who can cross, as that would give us a much greater threat if we had 2 fullbacks who could whip balls in to ba and cisse and still have ben arfa and jonas in the team. SUPERTOON
Where do people think we will play him from next season? Do you think he will be seen as our RB with us bringing in a LB, or the other way round?
Sifu
Long term RB for me.
Mole_Toonfan
Think he has been better than Enrique was in his first season tbh. As for his position it really depends........ if someone like Debuchy does indeed become a possibility then i would have no problem seeing this..... Debuchy-Douglas-Colo-Santon But it would have take a RB of real quality over any LB we can sign for me to consider it as i think Santon would be much better at RB. Miercoles
I like Santon but I would rather have Simpson at right back, having him on the pitch is like having a second goalkeeper sometimes. Doesn't he lead the league, by far, in goal line clearances? That kind of special quality is handier than getting a few crosses in from the fullback position in my opinion. AyeDubbleYoo
I genuinely think we should start Rob Elliot at RB, will be like having a second keeper on the pitch. Not sure of the details of the laws though, unsure if he'd be allowed to handle the ball.

HawK
He made an account to actually post that. Apologies to our sound American fans, but that is nail on the head for the typical American stereotypical 'soccer' viewpoint
