You do all realise that when Ashley does sell, it'll be to Kim Jong Un or some shit

It fucking nailed on like

Yes but at least when Shola next misses a glaring opportunity we will never see him again, or his brother.

If Ashley is on his way out and sells to some super rich person ,who then spends zillions on players, where does that leave the club when they've had enough, in the clarts with debts they can't pay and in deep sh*t.

With more cups than we've had in two generations?

Yes you'd just have to pray we'd get lucky with whoever bought it. Ashley would not give a shit who he sells to as long as they pay what he wants. There have been some decent owners move in. John Henry at Liverpool so far seems to have gone about it the right way, without having Man City type money to throw around.

Ashley just makes it so difficult to care about the team when there's no intention of bettering ourselves.  Yeah, we haven't "done a Leeds" or "done a Portsmouth", we're in the top flight, we're not going to go down this season, but at least most fans are following a club that's trying to get promoted, or trying to avoid relegation, or trying to establish themselves in their division, or trying to get into a round of the cup they wouldn't normally be expected to reach.  They've got the excitement of wondering if they'll do it, a reason to cheer their side on to try and win games to increase their chances.  They have the highs of when they make it and the lows of when they don't.  We're not even getting the highs and lows of success and failure, because we're not even attempting anything to succeed or fail at.  And that's why there's not even as much anger as you might expect, it's just this constant drone of monotony.  One of out most enjoyable seasons we've had under Ashley was in the Championship because we at least had an ambition and target to strive for, to win the league and get in the top flight again.

Chances of getting a decent owner are incredibly slim. Especially the way football is going these days.

Agreed, we could be looking at a Leeds-esque farce when Ashley sells and he sells it to a literal criminal.

Sweet, I'm really looking forward to playing in red because that's some lucky colour over in Asia or some stupid shite.

Unfortunately he tucked the bit about the fans' meeting at the bottom of an epic-length article that 80% of people won't finish.

I'm neither in the 80% or the 20%... I just scroll down to the bottom  ;D

Christ, that page is hard to look at.

Had to stop after this "sentence"

In a week where the latest interminable Leeds United takeover saga reached a hitherto unimagined level of farce as they went through 4 managers in less than a day, only to end up with the same bloke back in the dugout (for now), with the added bonus of a winding up order for unpaid debts to their shirt manufacturers on the doormat,  while the cousins of King William at Tynecastle managed to stagger into the realm of positive points for the first time this season, only to follow this up by losing on penalties to 9 man Inverness Caley in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, Newcastle United still managed to trump them both in terms of on and off pitch public relations disasters.

So, many, commas,
