Mattoon
Success breeds success and a winning run in a cup has every chance of bringing greater success in the league, confidence boosting, IF managed correctly. Don't seem to recall SBR suffering in the league when we were giving it a good go in Europe and both domestic cups?!
dilligaf
Success breeds success and a winning run in a cup has every chance of bringing greater success in the league, Which explains why we're not interested in the cups, heaven forbid we get into Europe
AyeDubbleYoo
Aye. Basically put last season's league form but swap the Europa League run for an FA Cup Semi. No thanks. I was assuming he meant a semi final where you have a chance of winning it.

Aye a cup run is brilliant, but is it worth 8-9 months of absolute dross for the sake of winning 3-4 games in the cup?

TRon
Ashley's support of Pards couldn't have been made more clear in the last few weeks. It doesn't surprise me that Remy has been withdrawn for 3 matches as soon as Pardew's 3 match stadium ban has been made public. Pretty sad if he was afraid of being shown up by some non-entity replacement in the dugout.

Remy has made it clear he's off in the summer, so we could use the next three games to see if Cisse can score a couple of goals to make his partnership with De Jong a cheap alternative to having to spend big money on a striker next season. Wullie
Newcastle should be the one place in the country where he's having to shut down and ship out. Instead he's opening a bigger store in a better location. How utterly embarrassing for us as a city and a group of supporters.
