Mike
Ashley's best move he could ever make would be to kiss KKs arse and beg him to be DoF like he was at Fulham. I'll lick your bollocks if that happens. Quoted for future reference. No images required like. Ever!

BONTEMPI
Best thing Ashley can do is sell a 51 percent stake of the club off and become a silent partner (very silent), whilst an agreement is set in place for his percentage to be reduced on an annual basis. Guest strongbow69
[quote author=SanToon link=topic=90600.msg4857296#msg4857296 date=139146223 How can anyone be sure of this? It's not like we are privy to any list of the super rich? There's money out there of it's looked for. Let's not forget good old mike p*ssed away our chance to be city how did he do that ? IIRC went to Abu Dhabi or Dubai and rather than attending the proposed meeting him and Dekka went on the lash. didn't that trip to Abu Dhabi or Dubai take place after City got taken over? They definitely went there after the Keegan fiasco Yeah you could be right, he definitely declined City's owner's though before they bought the. I'd assume the Keegan fiasco trip was to meet people with a similar wealth This? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ashley-snubs-arabs-after-being-1474884
lovejoy
I think the DOF structure is a good one TBH, just putting someone competent in the job seems impossible. Particularly when your shortlist is useless cockney pricks who'll accept a pittance.
Ronaldo
Please delete that before Ronaldo sees it. I'm hoping he wasn't serious. Can't think of many associated with the club in recent years who'd be worse.

wyn davies
If Ashley is on his way out and sells to some super rich person ,who then spends zillions on players, where does that leave the club when they've had enough, in the clarts with debts they can't pay and in deep sh*t. Yes you'd just have to pray we'd get lucky with whoever bought it. Ashley would not give a shit who he sells to as long as they pay what he wants. There have been some decent owners move in. John Henry at Liverpool so far seems to have gone about it the right way, without having Man City type money to throw around.
BlueStar
Ashley just makes it so difficult to care about the team when there's no intention of bettering ourselves. Yeah, we haven't "done a Leeds" or "done a Portsmouth", we're in the top flight, we're not going to go down this season, but at least most fans are following a club that's trying to get promoted, or trying to avoid relegation, or trying to establish themselves in their division, or trying to get into a round of the cup they wouldn't normally be expected to reach. They've got the excitement of wondering if they'll do it, a reason to cheer their side on to try and win games to increase their chances. They have the highs of when they make it and the lows of when they don't. We're not even getting the highs and lows of success and failure, because we're not even attempting anything to succeed or fail at. And that's why there's not even as much anger as you might expect, it's just this constant drone of monotony. One of out most enjoyable seasons we've had under Ashley was in the Championship because we at least had an ambition and target to strive for, to win the league and get in the top flight again. TaylorJ_01
Presumably, Mike Ashley will pop his clogs before me. I have the hope that, one day, we'll be owned by someone well good and I'll be around to say "...fuckin' right".
alexf
Chances of getting a decent owner are incredibly slim. Especially the way football is going these days.
