He's about what you expect from a back-up central midfielder for a team of our standing - decent enough, can do a job, not a world beater. However, when compared to Tiote, he is a massive drop down. Man Utd back up CM - Anderson, Cleverley Chelsea back up CM - Meireles, Mikel Tottenham back up CM - Sandro, Huddelstone Fair enough, the perils of being in 4th I suppose. Doesn't always move things along as quickly as he should, and can sometimes be a bit immobile, but he''s alright. Would have been far more disheartening to see Smith in there.
