Skirge
Well it wasn't fkn pretty BUT we go 2nd and that's all that matters... Thought Guthrie & Simpson were both great today, Gosling put in a shit.. Jonas looked tired but still worked dam hard, Ba never got any service but spent a lot of time dropping deep and helping out so great effort from him. Best was fkn dreadful it was all offside and giving away freekicks.. HBA is so desperate to impress he is being to selfish.. Sammy was electric bright bright future for the lad. Colo & Tayls were solid as ever and Ryan Taylor scored a blinder but it was is poorest defensive performance today. Marv looked a little overwhelmed and was unlucky to be clattered with that shocking tackle. Hope to fk Cabaye is okay, we really missed hi after he went off. Was a strange game, so many played well yet we were under so much pressure in the 2nd half.

All he did was get caught offside and give away freekicks, sooo many times we were in good attacking positions and had to delay the forward pass because Best was offside. nailed on! Big Geordie
Really good win today, even if we were hanging on at the end. I thought the loss of Cabaye was going to cost us, but Guthrie (who was superb) and Gosling just about managed to keep it together in midfield. 2nd place then eh? Hard to believe - well done lads. The international break is now coming at a good time for us.

Pilko
Guthrie is clearly playing for his future here. A few more performances like these last three and I think he'll get a new contract.
Ketsbaia
piersmorgan Piers Morgan Can't help noticing that #Newcastle seemed to have a turned a rather massive corner since the departure of one @Joey7Barton ....
Cronky
I was also pleased that we kept trying to attack right till the end. I feel it's nearly always a mistake to completely surrender the initiative and funnel back into defence for the final 10 minutes.
Pilko
Bringing Sammy on didn't look too hot a move to me, but it paid dividends in the last ten minutes when he was able to relieve pressure (bar that one awful pass that resulted in Guthrie's booking). JH
We played well in the first half, drifted off in the second. Disappointing to lose Cabaye and Marv to injury - hope both aren't too serious as both looked bright. HBA and Sammy both played well in their cameos, R.Taylor had another good game and scored a cracker to match, Guthrie worked his socks off, Jonas look knackered and Colo was a rock as always. Gosling impressed me when he came on too. The second half was a bit scrappier but we held on and got an absolute massive three points. International break could be a blessing in disguise to give everyone a rest and get Cabaye/Tiote/Marv back to full fitness. Hope all are fit. Bring on City. Flip
We weren't good, but Everton were horrible. Haven't seen such a bad Everton side play us for a long time.

Foluwashola
Hanging on a bit at the end, but to hold on with that midfield was awesome. Fucking 2nd man
Sifu
Everton's lack of cutting edge must be worrying. Saha should have really put away the chances he had.
gazza ladra
I don't think we played well in the first half at all. We were quite poor going forward and porous at the back. The two goals flattered us massively.
