I'm actually livid at that, We have been fucked over so many times already this season due to utterly shit refs, given we are "the home of football" the standard of officiating in the country is an actual joke, 3 games this season we've been fucked over, 4 games in.

I’ve always heard ‘things balance out over a season’. I can’t remember a single season since we first got relegated that this has been the case. Even that season things like the Beye sending off in the 2-2 v City and the Viduka goal v Fulham would have saved us. It’s just all bollocks.

Sick of talking about the refs already and we're only 4 games in. Clear as day why England didn't have a single official represented at the World Cup.

Because Clattenburg was the nominated ref but then went off to Saudi.

All you can do is laugh at this stage like. In a way it's an achievement to be that incompetent. [emoji38]

I was actually laughing through added time. The clincher was "it could get worse" and I'm like "nah" and then it did. Fuck this shit, man, every fucking game.

It’s absolute bollocks.  The only people who believe this stupid cliche are ones from the “big clubs” who get the majority of the decisions.  Ask someone from any unfashionable club and i guarantee they’ll say they’ve been screwed by officials most of the season.

I don't think it's a grand conspiracy. It's just self-preservation from referees. If you get it wrong and unfairly screw over a Newcastle or a Southampton or a Crystal Palace, no one cares when the manager goes mental about it. It's never gonna be the top story. But get it wrong against Man Utd or Liverpool and it's headline news, the spotlight is on you. If in doubt, they'll always err on the side of caution when giving reds or pens against the biggest teams. Other sides don't get that benefit of the doubt. That red card stat the Chronicle mentioned is insane: we haven't had a red against us in the PL for 5 years now? Had 17 reds against us in that time. I'm sure we're not the only ones.

Seems like this thread has been bumped every week since the beginning of the Championship season with clear penalties not given to us, dodgy ones given against us, red cards wrongly awarded to us and not given to the opposition etc to the point where it's getting fucking ridiculous now. That red card stat is insane. Not a single red card in 5 years? That surely goes beyond incompetence.

Premier League referee Bobby Madley was sacked after sending an inappropriate message on social media featuring a picture of a disabled man, Sky Sports News understands.

It is understood the Snapchat message suggested the 32-year old would be able to win a race against the disabled man on a school sports day.

After the image was seen by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, he was informed that his contract would be terminated.

It is understood Madley is presently relocating to Norway and, if selected, he will be able to continue working as a professional match official.

The Premier League have told Sky Sports News: "Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL.

"We understand he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances."

Madley had officiated 91 matches in the Premier League since 2013 and also took charge of last season's Community Shield at Wembley.

EDIT: Hadn't realised Giggs.

FWIW, he's moving to Norway for personal reasons, he's not been invited by anyone to be a ref here. He's only informed our referee's union that he'd like to continue refereeing, and thus there'll be talks but it's not at all certain he'll get to referee here.

For the sake of Norwegian football, I hope you tell him not to bother.
