Holding him back got exactly what Pardew wanted from him

I've had no joy with this argument, good luck!

Because using this logic Pardew could never be wrong, no matter what.

HBA doesn't play = obviously a waster in training/not motivated/not good enough.

HBA plays and is crap = See! Pardew was right all along! All you fanboys were deluded.

HBA plays and is good = managed perfectly by Pardew!

I understand, there's no way to tell anyway.

Fooking love the lad anyway, just going to enjoy it now.

Or one could perhaps see that Ben Arfa has become a more all round player who is aware of his defensive responsibilities whilst still being amazing going forward?

Nice to see he still has his amazing acceleration.

Nice one on his goal, new thing I noticed is that he can now keep his acceleration for a long time.  O0

Maybe we don't have to be negative about everything? :dontknow:

It's no surprise that we've probably scored two of not many counter-attacking goals of the season with him on the pitch.

How many have we actually scored? 2 today, Obertan against Blackburn, Jonas v Wolves, Ba vs Norwich, Ba v Bolton, Ben Arfa v Arsenal. Only 7 this year by my count and the two today were classic ones, too.

His speed is unbelievable with the ball, and his brain usually matches it. Love watching him play.

Incredible player, our Messi.

His potential - once - was to be the world's Messi.

He'll end up being the Premiership's version of Messi if he gets games consistently.

.

Very good performance today, one of his best (if not THE best) in a Newcastle shirt!

Just hope Pardew will start him against Liverpool's ugly team next week...

Best individual Newcastle United performance for a very, very long time. Fail to remember when we had a player who was dominating a game like that the last few years.

HBA against Everton?

Knew that that would be the first one to mention. Any other player, though?
