AyeDubbleYoo
There's nothing Hazard can do technically that Hatem can't. His problem is physical conditioning and mental focus. And playing in a team of near statues.
Kanji
Hazard has a take-over / kill switch that top players have in all different types of sports. Hatem has it too rarely, which is a shame. Hatem had it earlier this season IMO.
Ronaldo
There's nothing Hazard can do technically that Hatem can't. His problem is physical conditioning and mental focus. And playing in a team of near statues. Hazard strikes a ball better, has more pace and far more vision/intelligence. To put it down to a few extra fitness sessions and a bit more mental application is ridiculous, even by your standards.

We've seen it for ourselves, showed us that on his full debut.

Ronaldo
I'm not even gonna waste my time. No less talented than Eden Hazard, ffs. Whatever.

Hazard's dribbling is a lot more direct which makes him far more effective, and I'd agree his vision and intelligence are many levels higher than Ben Arfa. Those are the real clinchers. Segun Oluwaniyi
Eden Hazard is athletically in a much high stratum than Hatem Ben Arfa ever has been or will be. I actually would say that our own player is a better technical dribbler, but that is all. Hazard can beat other players just by changing speeds. It is incredible the number of times he leaves a defender rubbished just by accelerating into a different gear. This is something people under estimate about him, (and Messi, tbh) his lower body strength and explosiveness is just ideal for his position.
TRon
Intelligence with the ball is a massive advantage Hazard has. It's as simple as that.
BrettNUFC
Vision and Intelligence, that's the seperation. There's a huge gulf in class between Hazard/HBA on them accounts though. I do think Ben Arfa has some sort of mental problem. Always thought him to have split personality disorder, must be a reason to why he is a loner
KaKa
I like Baba's point about lower body strength and explosion too. Hazard is a tough runner, and is far more physical.
alexf
Hatem did suffer a double leg fracture to be fair. He was never going to be quite as good as he could have been after that. He definitely had Hazard levels of acceleration in that Everton game. He's still quick now when he wants to be but not what he was. Hazard wasn't being rated as high last year as he is being currently. He started well when he joined Chelsea but then faded badly and was incredibly inconsistent. Just shows if a player has the right manager who can help develop them, as well as playing regularly and avoid injury then they can go on and potentially become far better than they were even 1-2 years previously. Hazard is developing perfectly at the moment, Hatem unfortunately has probably missed his chance now where he could have kicked on and become a top player. Probably when he was messing around in France falling out with managers etc.

Elliottman
I dont imagine Hazard would look so good in our team either. That said, good run of games coming up, time for HBA to show some balls and get going.

Definitely, Hazard's athleticism/physicality is actually one of his biggest strengths. Maybe underrated because he's quite short.

Yorkie
Not gonna deny he's been fairly pants in the last two games, but he gets absolutely no leeway whatsoever. One excellent game at Norwich, two poor ones where the entire team and manager were terrible, and he's the first out the side again.
