Ketsbaia
We've thrown away that incredible start with another poor performance. Pardew got us playing the high line, it clearly didnt work and yet he stuck with it. Defensively we were shambolic and despite having less of the ball, they looked much more likely to score. Obertan shouldn't exist - I'd rather have a mop on the right. Tiote was very poor today, hopefully Chelsea and Man U scouts were there to see that. Vuckic was alright tbh Coloccini was bested by Long again and again Ben Arfa lit the game up and I loved the 'Hatem Ben Arfa' chants before he came on Krul can't kick Absolutely livid. Tiresias
I don't mind the high line on it's own (though not against a team with pacey attackers) it's that and the hoofing. It's a bizarre combination, I think we should be pushing, but that also involves pressing and a passing game, not giving it away so much.

Not quite, but we're in real danger of doing so.
madras
again with the high line.....would you rather we had the defence 30yds away from the midfiled with the huge gap that provides ? or was it because the central midfield were pap positionally affording no cover/support for the defence at all ? Guest Heneage
Makes you realise just how vital that Luiz red card against chelsea was, it seemed to set off a chain reaction of shit our way.

I think it changes the game, and 'possibly' means they don't get injured. After no win in 6, I'm inclined to analyze every big decision of the last few weeks. Newcastle Fan
One point from Norwich, Swansea and West Brom is relegation form, and tbh I'm starting to worry.
Interpolic
Fucking hell we were bad tonight. First half the only serious efforts we had were Demba's FK goal and Vuckic's shot off the bar. Second half we had a few more attempts but we didn't deserve to win. Neither did they mind, draw would have been fair. Was quite alarmed by the negativity in the crowd tonight, our lot were getting ripped the fuck apart in the second half.
Interpolic
PS Demba Ba is fucking way better than I ever realised, he can score any type of goal from anywhere.
JH
Was quite alarmed by the negativity in the crowd tonight, our lot were getting ripped the f*** apart in the second half. Aye, there were quite a few baying for blood. Not been in a hostile atmosphere like that for a fair few months.

Nah, sorry like but that aint happening. I'm worried our great start is going to be completely wasted, but that's about it.

Mick
Aye, there were quite a few baying for blood. Not been in a hostile atmosphere like that for a fair few months. I put that down to Pardew mind, starting Obertan and Best while leaving out Ben Arfa is just putting everybody under pressure. Ben Arfa's name has never been as load as it was before he came on and that was frustration from the crowd.

We're 4 wins and a draw away from the 'magical 40' and not even half the season is gone. There's no chance we're going down. None at all.

I'm not disagreeing with you but I can't say when I think we'll turn things around as the last 2 games were perfect for that and we have blown it.
