Liverpool vs Newcastle United - 30/12/11 @ 7.45pm (live on Sky) pre-match thread

Asking on behalf of someone, what away pubs are there at Anfield? Heard its a nightmare getting a pint at the Arkles.

Whenever I've been, it's been very much a case of using the Liverpool pubs like the Arkles when you go to Goodison Park and using the Everton pubs closest to there when you're playing at Anfield.

Punch and Judy at Lime Street Station for cheap beer and charvas selling tat and then taxi to the ground.

I believe this 'Liverpool are the bestest' thing is starting to turn, and the rest of the footballing world have taken their blinkers off.

I can't wait to see KKK and the Liverpool's fans try to justify tonight's game if they don't win. We're a point away from them with half of the season gone. They're not that special and we should be attacking them in the same way we did Stoke a couple of months back.

If you're willing to travel a little further than that, head to Legends (6 West 33rd Street). Will be full of Toon fans.

feel similar to the Man U game tbh, think we're definitely capable of getting a result. nothing to worry about imo, a loss would be 'expected'. pressure's off us and we've performed well in these sorts of games so far, almost back to full strength. enjoy it man  :)

I'd happily take a point now, if offered although I do think we'll lose (such is our record there) I'd hope that Williamson looks after Carroll and Colo on Bellamy, but the latter may well need some help on that due to Bellamy's elusiveness. We really need Tiote and Cabaye to impose themselves from the off, to stand a chance of getting something. I'd also like to see Ben Arfa start off Ba (as most of would)

This is my derby, man. There isn't a Mackem in sight where I live, but god damn are there plentiful of loudmouth Liverpool-supporting cunts. They've always crushed us and so I've not had much to say, but this year, for the first time in a good 8 or so years, we're level with them in the table and we look capable of matching them on the pitch. I'm buzzing.
