Guest ThievingMagpie Posted July 14, 2012 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I'd rather keep Ferguson at LB and move Santon instead to the left wing position, Santon is more creative going forward and is willing to stay wide and as well as cut in and I think offers way more going forward than Ferguson. Ferguson is the stereotypical British winger, hugs the touchline and bangs in a cross which would be great...if this was 1992 not 2012, he'd benefit more from being an attack-minded fullback and coming into the final third late and receiving an outlet ball and banging in a great cross or overlapping with Santon or whoever we have as a winger and bringing a bit more directness when we need it. Also he hasn't played for the Senegal first team yet, so he could yet play for Belgium. Probably a load of rubbish anyway, but nothing wrong with a bit of research.
