Dave
Wages shouldn't be too much of a barrier if we keep signing young, moderately priced continental players like Santon, Anita, Tiote etc and a few low cost refurbishment players like Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Ba. It worked last year and probably would have this year if we'd kept doing it.
BottledDog
So how many clubs can we actually compete with on wages? We can't compete with Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, QPR and possibly West Ham. London gives Fulham an advantage. When you think of it like that, it explains why we won't buy anyone that costs ~£10m or more. Because we won't pay them accordingly. Top half every year suddenly seems like a reasonable target. Is this a new thing? Over our history for the most part would it have not been a good or reasonable target?
ExiledGeordie
Can see Graham ending up at Sunderland.
BottledDog
Can see Graham ending up at Sunderland. Wouldn't mind that. Really don't rate him much and would add some fun for the derby games.

A very good point, and abit depressing. However, will our wage expenses rise with the level of income from next years PL should we stay?

The fact that he fucking hates the mackems would be hillarious.
Deuce
I'd bring Graham home, just to bring Graham home. Certainly could do much worse for a Cisse back-up (who'd probably start though).
ponsaelius
Would rather sign DG than AC if we absolute mus havz mor jordies in the team
Disco
Scored more goals this season than anyone in our squad. Not French & no much potential for sell-on value though so very unlikely if this is going to happen.
Wullie
Depending on a Mag? Surely the mackems aren't going to make that mistake again?!
thenige
Would take Graham over most of the dross we've been linked with since the Remy deal fell though. N'Gog or Aliadiere ffs?
sugoinufc
The total breakdown on here if we sign N'Gog.. would be amusing until it actually sunk in that we signed David N'Gog. A front 3 of N'Gog - Cisse - Obertan Thats funny...in a bizarre way
EthiGeordie
"Gouffran was offered an extension but he did not like it. He only wants to go to England," (via Infosport+) Given the comments of the Bordeaux president, I think we might see Gouffran at NUFC either now or in the summer. Player is eager to move. BONTEMPI
What a surprise, fuck all happening. Need to string this fucking lot up. If Liverpool can drive wankers out then why can't we?
Carlito
What a surprise, f*** all happening. Need to string this f***ing lot up. If Liverpool can drive wankers out then why can't we? Probably because they actually do something about it most of the time whereas we tend to sit back and put up with it. Maybe I'm being harsh but it's true. I think the only time in recent history where we really tried to consistently get somebody out of the club was Souness.

Carlito
If no-one wants to buy the club then what can any one do? Pretty much this. We're stuck with the fat mess until somebody serious comes in for it.
