Not sure where to post this, but good summary of our new signings.

Throw it in that The French Connection - Allez the lads thread :)

O0 Done.

"Gouffran is a tall target man who has certainly upped his game this season, becoming increasingly more prolific in a Bordeaux side that struggles for goals."

He's 1,76 m isnt he? (this is based on "gouffran height" on google)

Jury is out for me on Douglas; Whenever I've seen him he looks slow on sluggish, and at times his positional sense is very average; maybe his heart isn't at Twente no more and he isn't giving 100% I don't know

Out of interest, how often have you seen him?

I could live with that pretty much.

If we're going to lose Colo, I'd settle for having someone we've clearly watched for the best part of 1-2 years to replace him. I don't think we'd sign him after that long if we didn't like the look of him.

Same here.

Would be a massive stepback if Colo went in the summer and we just settled with Taylor.

I'd say about a dozen times; he's lethal in the air, but just looks really clumsy to me: I don't know, maybe I'm over analysing his performances?? I'm just not sure about him;

Especially as Taylor is a ticking time bomb injury wise. It's not like when he gets injured he's down for 2-3 weeks, it's months. They'll have to get someone else in the summer when Colo goes.

Thing is i don't think he will be replacing Colo, i know he's here at the moment but Mbiwa is Colo's long term replacement and any CB we buy will be a partner for him rather than a replacement for Colo.

That's how i see it anyway.

Twente have kept the most clean sheets so far this season, you don't do that with a clumsy sluggish CB playing.

It's all relative; he plays in a pretty poor league where the opposition by in large is sub standard at best

us and williamson last season ?

Its a fair point I guess.. So using that logic we should be going after Bengtsson instead

Don't see why it doesn't make sense..... Mbiwa is basically a quicker and stronger version of Colo while Douglas is a more dominating CB who would compliment Colo/Mbiwa perfectly.

Also if rumors are to be believed Mbiwa has very high wages( wages only Colo can beat) i don't think its so farfetched to think we knew Colo was off sooner or later so we got his long term replacement in this month and would buy a partner for his replacement when he does leave.

Well if Colo quits then Douglas would replace him, maybe not Colo's role, but he would still replace him as a player. Is this what you are trying to say?

Aye Mbiwa would be deployed in Colo's role, of course he replaces him as a player but not the role which is what i was saying.

I didn't think it would be so difficult to understand tbh
