Guest Brazilianbob
Looking at the players we have brought in, it just doesn't make sense not to go that extra mile and bring in a reasonably prolific goalscorer like Bony or Aubameyang, rather than relying on Cisse suddenly rediscovering his form. If Cisse carries on missing chances and Gouffran and or Shola can't step up to the plate with goals, then simply avoiding defeat in our remaining games is still not going to be enough to keep us in the EPL . Given that it is widely documented we made a E10m bid for Aubameyang, I still hold out a folorn hope that one of these two will be signed before the deadline, especially if we don't score tonight against a poor Villa side. LRD
Cabaye, if played in an advanced role and HBA should weigh in with their share of goals. Reckon Sissoko and to a lesser extent MYM will contribute too.
Cajun
I think Ranger gets the nod because he is physically strong enough and has more experience.
Cajun
I want Graham even more now tbh (just reading the Sunderland thread). He is a decent goalscorer and a hard worker. I think he would be a nice fit for our squad. Him being a fan is a big plus too because you know he will fight every game (not in a Bowyer/Dyer way). Dokko
Graham instead of Shola today. Can't see why people would be against him minus his cost.

For £6m This is going off the range (that's quite a) I have seen quoted in the press.

Unbelievable
Newcastle set to bid £9m for Ajax's Siem de Jong Voetbal International reporting an interest from us in Siem de Jong too, albeit in their transfer rumours roundup: http://www.vi.nl/achtergronden/Transferdagboek-1/235046/Transferdagboek-301-goalie-Butland-Aguero-Zarate.htm
Mole_Toonfan
I hope Pardew knows what he's doing, i was fully behind Siem De Jong before but he plays in exactly the position Sissoko played last night. As with Bony i'm a bit skeptical with how he would fit. Assuming the rumors have any credibility to them that is.

Bony is another matter though, we really could do with another top striker, even though it would point towards playing Cisse and Bony together instead of a lone striker and two wide men. I think playing Bony and Cisse as a front 2 is a better option than Jonas in a front 3! At least it would give us more than one system to play once Ben Arfa is back, although swapping between the 2 formations and then pushing Bony/Cisse out wide would be pointless too. Still doubt this will happen tho
Mole_Toonfan
The thing with Cisse is i'm convinced he is someone who needs to be supported by wide forwards/wingers and attacking midfielders etc etc rather than an actual partner. His career seems to suggest this, also we would have to change our system to fit to both of them in the line up and i'm not sure is showing any signs of building a team that fits a 4-3-1-2 that would have to be used to fit them both. Fair play if the plan is keep the system as it is and have Bony compete with Cisse, in fact fair f*cking play but i doubt it.
TherealnorthernTOON
In todays football AM's tend to play on the wing. Dependandt on how Siem tracks back to create Pardews 4-4-1-1 in defence I'm pro him comming. As I've understood he's an up and comming Dutch international wich can't be a bad thing at all. And he's scoring goals aswell. Never mind the fact that we need options in the final third aswell.
