merlin
Can't see how we could get Ince tbh. Surely Liverpool would just do what QPR have done to us with Remy? Exactly - it will happen regularly.
olliemort
This is f***ing ridiculous we are in this mess. Why sign f***ing players half way through the season.Imo a lot of players would have jumped to sign for us in the summer compared to now

KaKa
According to our information, the English club Newcastle have views Bafé Gomis (11 goals in 19 league games this season). Desiring to replace Demba Ba, transferred to Chelsea, the Magpies who come to steal to Loic Remy by Queens Park Rangers are considering making an offer to OL in the next few days. The Lyon striker whose market value is estimated at 10 million euros would finish the season at Lyon. http://www.lyoncapitale.fr/Journal/Autre-contenu/Breves/Mercato-Bafe-Gomis-cible-par-Newcastle/%28language%29/fre-FR R.B Transfers OL: Bafétimbi Gomis to Newcastle? And if Bafétimbi Gomis replaced Demba Ba left for Chelsea there ten days? Since the departure of striker, Newcastle is looking for a player capable of replacing. After probably failed on file Loïc Rémy, who should sign for QPR, the Magpies do not admit defeat so far. According Olympique Lyonnais and, Bafétimbi Gomis is the new priority made in France of the English club. Side Lyon, Jean-Michel Aulas keeps repeating that no player is transferable research at all costs replenish its coffers. Whether selling Gourcuff, Lisandro, Bastos and Gomis, everything is good to degrease the workforce and make room for the young. Newcastle willing to put up € 10 million on the table to secure the services of the Black Panther therefore comes at the right time ... http://www.menly.fr/sport-jeux/sport/mercato-rumeurs-transferts/158557-transferts-ol-bafetimbi-gomis-newcastle/ Looking like Gomis is a strong possibility. Mole_Toonfan
Gomis is not really the one i want as it means 4-4-2 and long ball for the foreseeable future but at least unlike Ba.... Gomis can make the ball stick and bring others into the game while being faster than Ba so he could make hoofball effective. But in the situation we find ourselves in beggars can't be choosers. KaKa
Well, if we're going to play the long ball then we might as well have someone who can win the ball up top ... We really just need to be more effective regardless of the style of play. Utilising the wings would be really important if we go 4-4-2. Debuchy will help, but we really need improved wing play for someone other than Ben Arfa too.

Aye if nothing else he would make us effective at that style, he's a poor mans Drogba basically its just not really the type i wanted us to go for. But if we do want long ball then he would make us effective as he's very strong, quick and dominate aerially. Anyway we will see.
Pata
I have never seen Gomis have a good game. Not seen much but has looked like a younger Shola with a broken hip. 10 million euros seems way too much.

Dr Venkman
There'd be something tragically beautiful about signing Siem De Jong and giving him to Pardew to do something with. If we're stuck with Pardew we're better off signing a lump like Gomis, the alternative is long balls up to Cisse.

Parky
To me Gomis looks ponderous and slow with little pitch sense. Just an athletic lad who scores now and again. Leave alone.
Varadi
Gomis Just a younger Shola. He's scored 40 goals in 78 games in the last 2 seasons. By way of comparison Shola has 34 goals in the last 8 seasons Looks like he might be just a little more proficient than wor Shola!
GuyP
Was gonna say, if we get Gomis, expect even longer balls...i think this backs up the idea that Loic Remy would have just been striker down the middle too, just the long balls would be tried to be lofted in behind the defence... Guest Brazilianbob
Well I cant see us getting Aubamyang in January because St Etienne just got to the French League cup final last night by beating Lille on penalties. Also Montpellier are playing in the other semi tonight, and if they get to the final I reckon we can say bye bye to Mbiwa too. Time to move on to other targets I reckon! Maybe Pardew wants to buy Gomis because he doesn't want to have Cisse as the target man. What that means for Cisse I'm not sure, either 4-4-2 or more wing duty probably.
