BottledDog
It would be madness to sell Jonas quite frankly. No it really wouldn't. Yeah. Yeah it would. We're bottom of the God damned league.
Tooj
It would be madness to sell Jonas quite frankly. No it really wouldn't. Why not? People have been complaining about our lack of squad depth all season so let's go and sell one of our more experienced players. Really good idea that one. He might be on a poor run of form, yet when he does play Santon's game massively improves because of that. He's also still a better option to have than either Sammy or Ferguson. His shit performances this season have contributed to where we are. He's done as a decent player and will only ever be a passenger. The only reason to keep him is so Colo has a mate around, but that's not worth the money we are paying him or a squad space. Just wait till he's starting in front of players who can make a difference, and doing fuck all during the entire game, and he will, Pardew rates him. The most you can hope from Jonas is that he doesn't give the ball away, because he doesn't do anything with it, but unfortunately giving it away is his speciality, putting pressure back on us. If santon cannot cope without his hand being held then its time for Haidara to have a crack at it.
Kanji
Nobody should go until the season is over unless its a young one going on loan or recouping any cash on Simpson's expiring deal.
Unbelievable
Everybody's shit performances have contributed to where we are in all honesty. Jonas has something to offer still. Would be madness to let him go, even though I hope he will be considered a squad player from now on rather than one of the first names on the teamsheet. That's a bad sign about Santon tbh, who defensively is extremely suspect at the moment.
Guest Slippery Sam
@nufcfans: Jesualdo Ferreira: "Whoever has the money to activate the clause will be able to buy Ricky, that's how the market works." #NUFC Anyone know the size of the release fee?... Yeah, Carr and Redknapp. But there's only one of those who would open their big, melted-welly-like mouth about it.
Dokko
Is easy to say no one should go, but in reality these new players cost a weekly wage and some adjustments will probably need to be made somewhere. Rather it be with a no hoper like Jonas than someone important.

Plus don't forget Xisco is out of the door in the summer too so that's a massive saving.

Both are probably better at their jobs than Jonas as well. Jonas is a winger with no creativity who has now lost his pace shoehorned into a more central slot where we've got much better players. What is he anymore? Apart from a disaster, he confuses me to his role in the team. Simpson is second in line for Debuchy, willo is only behind a very injury prone Taylor and we still need to see how colo is mentally and Mbiwa to settle. Jonas is the biggest drain on resources behind Xisco. If we could get a fee for him it would be an excellent move for the club.

BottledDog
A considerably different version of the quote. 'It is never over til it’s over and club like this we are always likely to do business. If we lost a player we might have a look and see.' If you wanted defensive cover, put Anita there. Hopefully we're not playing with 4 across the centre, but 3 up top, hba, Cisse and gouffran. Mid consisting 3 of Tiote, sissoko, Cabaye & Anita. Felling Mag
I agree that Jonas has struggled massively this season and also agree his days are numbered. Would still like to keep until the end of the season though, hopefully just as cover. I don't want our young players to be chucked into the deep end anymore this season. They're aren't ready and would prefer Jonas to get stick than them.
