@JBcommentator: Breaking News from Russia - Rubin Kazan will make a new bid for Papiss Cisse of Newcastle tomorrow. Expect bid to be in excess of 10 million

Is that pounds or euros? I think we are right to hold out for getting our money back. Despite his loss of form, I still think in a team set up to provide service from wide positions he'll score goals.

No matter how poor he has been, selling a player outside of our own transfer window is absolute madness. Saturday proved how vulnerable we are to an injury/suspension here and there.  But then again, this is NUFC.

He's not been used all season anyway. Not to mention we've signed De Jong on loan to cover his loss. It really won't make much of a difference.

Strange how people cannot see this. Already we are up on the deal, we've a player playing for his future not one looking for a way out. That attitude will be seen on the pitch in the coming months. We simply don't need Cisse, if we can take advantage of some desperate suitors then we really need to do business.

And then what if we don't sign De Jong in the summer, Remy will go, and we don't renew Shola's contract. We'll be lucky to get 1 player in (Gomis on a free most likely) nevermind 3!

Think we all know that ain't gonna happen. Shola +2 and Gouffran.

Who the 2 are feck knows.

Can't see Remy not getting better options and depends on what fuckwittery De Jong witnesses from the club as to whether he wants to land himself here. Midst Pardews 'land of the lost'.

Can see them cashing in too. Wouldn't be so bad if we had a replacement lined up but we won't.

When Pardew will pick Remy, De Jong and even Shola ahead of him, might as well let him go tbh.

Anyway having 4 strikers will lead us down the road to Portsmouth you nutter

Ashley' will have another semi on today-  with Happy Face ready and waiting for a pearl necklace.

Wish people would give it a rest with this kind of shite. As if anyone is happy to see our players leave.

Tbf Nicky Butt and Alan Smith.

well flogging one of our worst centre forwards since Andreas Andersson for £10m seems quite a good idea to me.

As for would I rather play Shola? I probably would actually - both equally hopeless but at least Shola is too slow to get into an offside position these days. In fact his chest down from a Williamson punt and attempted lob over the keeper was the best bit of forward play we produced on Saturday.

Shame b/c the way De Jong plays he seemed actually a good partner for Cisse.

Disgusting once again by those who continue to make a mockery of our once proud club.

When was the last time we played 4-4-2?

10 million for someone who has been worse than shit for 18 months :fwap:

Not arsed about him leaving. Shola will get a look in ahead of him anyways.

That does seem to be the theme from this season is that Shola is ahead in the pecking order.
