Looks like the poor fella won't live to see the Sunderland match after the one on Sunday. I didn't get emotional or anything, but I really related to his words about supporting the club he loves. The cancer thread is very harrowing, posters talking about their progress and how they are managing, then one poster comes on to say theres nothing the doctors can do and he is going to die Terrible, makes you feel very fortunate. It's easier to do that than face the reality of the situation. Terrorist recruitment relies on this, so yes, I'm equating being a mackem to the hopelessness required for people to blow themselves up for a very low chance at a decent afterlife.
