Segun Oluwaniyi
If Chris Waddle says "playing football" one more time...I will do nothing as I'm sat on my bed half asleep, but I will be unhappy.
toontownman
fuck me that is a big pile of shite. SORT IT OUT PARDEW Only thing positive is coming from Raylor..which doesnt say much. we will get more directness and spread the field with Ben Arfa or Obertan but we will leave gaping holes at the back and loose the only service we are providing so far. Mackems look far more potent going forward, if we leave bigger gaps at the back we will be ripped to shreds, they are threatening to do it already. Have zero faith in our defence tbh. David28
Pardew has to change it at half time. The formation we played against Fulham (first half) would probably count as a real try.
Yorkie
Plus, the atmosphere seems to be utter shite for a derby. Deflated immediately after the initial few hoof-balls and it became clear we had no intention of playing football today. Woeful, woeful performance. Absolute joke of a gameplan. Stifler
The referee is bottling everything in our our favour. Cattermole should have been sent off, we should have had a dozen random free kicks, possibly a penalty, Sunderland are going down under every challenge and getting free kick every time, also whats with them starting to waste time already? Mind you, we have been shit, no urgency to get the ball forward, playing into Sunderland's possession etc, I just hope somehow we don't get beaten in this game. Tachikoma
Did I really see Pardew berate Santon for bringing the ball forward instead of hoofing it?
Mr Logic
Pardew's tactics are minging.
Mikky
Absolute wank that half!!!!!!! Why are we making rash challenges all the time? Play some football for crying out loud!! Its constant long balls time after time....our strikers can't do much with that: keep it on the floor ffs Pardew you better sort that out at HT you fool
Ishmael
Shackled by our championship players and our idiotic innefectual long direct approach... Same old us.
mouldy_uk
we looked alot better with ba and 4-5-1 This The system we had before Cisse seemed to work
Ameritoon
Well, good end to the half (and beginning), but it's fucking shit that we come into a home derby with tactics that not only limit the team, but are detrimental to the team. Constantly giving away the ball, gap between midfield and strikers, constantly bypassing midfield, no movement, etc., etc. Hopefully the end of the half was a sign of things to come. Cronky
The usual faults. The strikers look isolated. Until the last 10 minutes, the midfield weren't finding one another. Still, there are some signs of improvement. I'm not sure that 4-4-2 is ultimately the way for us to go. Ba doesn't have the mobility for that secondary striker role. Neither Cabaye nor Tiote get forward enough - we've basically got an anchor man and a playmaker together and that's not ideal.
littlelunchbox
how many games have we been over-ran in midfield yet pardew still insist on playing two number 9s its like when he tryed Best out on the wings it took him over 3 games to understand it wasnt working. lol
biggs
I really really miss Steven Taylor. Could never understand the attitude of many of our fans against Steve Taylor. Williamson is showing just why he's BADLY missed. Who had that... Taylor was superb before his injury Taylor getting injured has been our downfall as his replacement simply is not a footballer but a civil servant pretending to be one
BleedsBlackAndWhite
Should be ashamed of themselves after that crap, half time bollocking better get them motivated ffs.
Ronaldo
Raylor is fucking dogshit, man. Waste of a man.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Every time Santon is is a decent crossing position, he cuts inside, which leads to us losing possession as no one on the team remembers how to pass a bloody football.

Big Geordie
Awful first half from us. Yes the commitment is there, but where the hell is the football? Defenders hoofing it forward at every opportunity, the same as they did v Wolves last week. We have good footballers in this team, so what the hell is Pardew playing at with his tactics? O'Shea and Turner are lapping it up at the moment. Not good enough!
Pav
Still feel that if it stays at 1-0 we will manage to get a goal back. Would be nice to see a change or 2 at half time as well.
toontownman
Thanks Williamson you clumsy f***ing plodder, you've been doing it all season. Don't know what he is thinking. Your slow yes, fouling isnt going to help you. Fault of Pardew and the club hierarchy for gambling on surviving the season without buying the one January aim we shouted about definately buying but never did.
