Fabrice Muamba retires from professional football

Recommended Posts

It's unlikely he'll ever play football again though. I cannot imagine JBR would take it too kindly, as I imagine you wouldn't be best pleased about Bolton fans taking the p*ss out of any Newcastle players after a career (and in this case life) threatening injury.

I'm not in any position to say what's right or wrong like, just my 2 cents.

Aye I suppose you're right.

I guess it's just ways of dealing with it. We were out on the night it happened and had resigned to him being dead tbf. We were all pretty silent for an hour or two but then just made a few sick jokes and it kinda cheered the mood up. Then we seen he was alive still and were all buzzing. It's horrific and I feel for him as much as many of you do, but I guess you have to look on the bright side. Still, each to their own. I'll keep myself to myself on this one.

I have to confess, I was at the Arsenal Villa game when the Villa fans sang the song about Heather Mills and Eduardo, and I absolutely pissed myself. The indignant reaction from the assorted glory-hunting middle-class twats around me made it even better.

Surely not?

Fabrice Muamba will be given the all-clear to start training in the next MONTH in the latest amazing stage of his comeback.

Bolton’s midfield star has made such astonishing progress since his cardiac arrest three weeks ago that the specialists are poised to give him a date when he can return.

Muamba was clinically dead for 78 minutes but he has stunned the medics with the power of his body and now the latest mind-blowing bulletin has been flashed to Wanderers.

Muamba’s test results have shown he has a strong heart and all of his other vital organs survivedthe horrifying ordeal intact.

The top people at the London Chest Hospital have informed Bolton that Muamba would be ready to start back at work “by the end of the month”.

It is hugely uplifting news that has shocked and delighted boss Owen Coyle and his staff – Coyle and chairman Phil Gartside said they wanted Muamba to be fit enough to just kick a ball about with his son Josh.

But this latest remarkable news could see Muamba back with his Bolton pals before the season is out.

As one amazed source said: “Fabrice has ripped up the medical rule book all the way through here. But this news tops the lot."
